Hi
After reading the threads I seem to experience the same problems with updating to v4.5.3 of Enfold. I’ve installed the plugin you suggested but it made no difference. It says when installing the ZIP file (installable wordpress file only) that the download is not valid anymore. Updating through WordPress itself does not work either, it always says the download hasn’t worked. I’ve updated the API but to no use.Is there any possibility for you to help?

If you need help updating then we need FTP login details as well, and a verification that you have backups of the site.

Thank you for your quick response. I’ve made a backup of the site yesterday afternoon. Since then the only thing I’ve done is the update to WP 5.03. Please find FTP login data below. I hope this works, let me know if you need anything else.

I’ve now had the time and changed both PHP Post Max Size and Max Upload Size to 256M. Is that enough? Updating the theme through WordPress still doesn’t work.

Sorry for the problem. The update to 4.5.x has to be done manually from the version you are running, please refer to my replies in this thread: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-4-5-theme-update-update-failed-download-failed-a-valid-url-was-not-pro/#post-1021541
You can either update manually via FTP: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update, or use a plugin to upload the theme zip file: https://wordpress.org/plugins/update-theme-and-plugins-from-zip-file/
If that doesn’t work then you might have to delete the theme folder then upload the new one after that. Also make sure that you have backups of the site before stating the update.
