    Hey angelortiz,
Your error messages seem to be pointing to your PHP version, please try updating to version 7.3, right now you are using PHP 7.0.33

    Best regards,
    Mike

I´ve recovered the web already backing up the public-html/poseckfilms.com
After that, under your indications I´ve changed the PHP version already. Now, that implies that I could update the ENFOLD version to the latest one? Is there some danger to be broken the web again by some reason?

If I renew the Support I can be sue of getting all the help in case something goes wrong and finally I could be again on the road been capable of editing the web. Such thing is not possible at this point.

    I´ll wait for your answer.

    Best regards,

    Hi,

Sorry for the problem. I see that you are running an old version of the theme, the update to 4.7.x has to be done manually from the version you are running, please refer to my replies in this thread: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-4-5-theme-update-update-failed-download-failed-a-valid-url-was-not-pro/#post-1021541

You can either update manually via FTP: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update, or use a plugin to upload the theme zip file: https://wordpress.org/plugins/update-theme-and-plugins-from-zip-file/

If that doesn’t work then please try to delete the whole theme folder, then replace it with the new version. Make sure that you have backups of the site before starting updating.

After you have updated then try to activate the Classic Editor in the main page of the theme options.

Also please read this after you have updated: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-registration/

I would suggest that you update on a staging version of the site if you want to keep the production site safe.

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Hi Rikard,

Thanks for your answer. I understand all the process you are indicating:

1- Have a backup copy -the hosting does automatic copies of the last 30 days-. I can select one of those days.
2- Delete the whole theme folder of Enfold in the Administrator at Cpanel.
3- Load via FTP of a latest version already downloaded in my computer.
4- Activate the Classic Editor in the main page of the theme options. I have some doubts here. Where this must be done? I enclosed the pic of the general ettings of the Theme but can´t see the activation option.
5- Latest, but not least, what does it mean: “I would suggest that you update on a staging version of the site if you want to keep the production site safe”.

I enclosed in the private content the contact data to get into the dashboard.

    Hi,
The option to use the Classic Editor is on the Enfold Theme Options panel, the first panel in the theme options.

This: “I would suggest that you update on a staging version of the site if you want to keep the production site safe”. means that if you want to keep your site live for your visitors, but also test whether the update will cause any issues, you can use a stagging clone of your site on a temp url to check.

Check your webhost to see if you have the one-click staging site option, this is an option in most cPanels to create a staging clone of your site so you can test an update on it and your live site will stay up and running untouched. You can always ask your webhost to help you with setting this up if you want.

Here are some screenshots of what it would look like:
    staging-1
    staging-2

    Best regards,
    Mike

Thanks for your reply. I´ve achieved, luckily, the updating to the latest version, once I´ve got the token to do it.

    Thanks for your answers.

    Hi,
Glad to hear, unless there is anything else we can assist with on this issue, shall we close this then?

    Best regards,
    Mike
