Hi I just updated to the latest enfold update and ive lost some of my custom css and footer social media icons.
How do I restore my site to its previous form but still update enfold. It mentioned child theme but I don’t know what that is.

Do you have a backup of the site which you can restore? Otherwise I think you will have to add the missing content/code back manually.

Yes you would want to use a Child Theme in order to make sure your custom changes are not overwritten via an update. Please refer to the following:

The blog format i used with elementor on my parent theme have gone and some of the wordpress format has returned. How do I restore the child theme to look exactly like my parent theme?
Also I added my many chat code to the header php and its still not showing on my site could you help with this also?

My child theme has some of the changes but has reverted back to the word press lay out. Is there a way to copy all of the features from the parent theme to the child theme?
I also embedded my manychat javscript code into the header php of my child theme and its not showing on my website
