    Hi,

    i have tryed to update to the Enfold Theme version 4.5 and it’s not working. I receive the following error messages:

    Hey Karsten,

    Sorry for the problem, the update to 4.5 has to be done manually unfortunately. Please refer to my replies in this thread: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-4-5-theme-update-update-failed-download-failed-a-valid-url-was-not-pro/#post-1021541

    You can update manually via FTP as well if you prefer that: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update

    Hi Rikard,

    thanks for the update. I’m not sure what is the easiest way to upgrade to 4.5, (Plugin or FTP). I’m not an expert so I have the fear that afterwards nothing is working. Please let me know your recommendation. Is it possible that you can support me doing the upgrade?

    Hi Karsten,

    Thanks for the update. If you are not that experienced then I would recommend the plugin, also make sure that you have proper backups of the site in case something should go wrong and you need to revert back to the previous state.

    If you need help updating then we would need WordPress admin and FTP login details to do it for you. We also need you to verify that you have backups of the site in place in case something should go wrong.

    Hi Rikard,

    it would be nice if you can help me with the update. I can confirm that I have done a backup of the site today. I will send you the Admin data and the FTP within the private section.

    Hi Rikard,

    I have one additional question. Will the manual update change the colour settings or the fonds settings of the websiite, or is the result as it normally for the automated update?

    Hi Karsten,

    Thanks for the details, I have updated your theme to 4.5 now and everything looks fine on my end. Please check your site so that everything looks ok on your end as well.

    The update should not have changed any of your theme settings, but you will need to verify that manually I guess.
