Hi,

I notice a few people are reporting the same issue but i cant find an answer. when running the update to 4.5.3 i get the following error.

Update to 4.5.3 Fails

Here the same problem with different sites I am running on Enfold.

Hope that there wil a good solution for this, Becuase this happens before.

I have the same issue; since I use Enfold for multiple sites and have a license purchased for each site, so this is a significant issue moving forward.

YES, I read all the steps that Enfold authors provide for setting up tokens, and added the recommended envato market plugin, and it still fails with the same “Download Forbidden” issue.

Hi lyndondarkes,

I updated your theme to 4.5.3 without and problem from the dashboard. It’s still indicating that an update is available though but you can try running this plugin in order to clear WordPress transients to fix that: https://wordpress.org/plugins/transients-manager/

Thanks for your help but can you shed some light on the issue please, i have many other sites with the same issue?

Did you see the error when you updated the theme?
Is it the case that the update had already installed fine but WP still indicated there was a update required (incorrectly), and that is why i saw the error?

Hi Lyndon,

I’m not sure to be honest with you, but since it worked when I tried then it’s likely due to the new Envato traffic limit. I’m not sure exactly what their rules are, but if you have exceeded their traffic limit for a day then you can’t update or download your theme files. When I tried it was after you tried updating, that is likely why it worked when I did it.

Hi Frank,

Sorry for the problem. The update to 4.5.x has to be done manually from the version you are running, please refer to my replies in this thread: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-4-5-theme-update-update-failed-download-failed-a-valid-url-was-not-pro/#post-1021541

You can either update manually via FTP: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update, or use a plugin to upload the theme zip file: https://wordpress.org/plugins/update-theme-and-plugins-from-zip-file/

Also please read this after you have updated: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-registration/
