Dear Kriesi-team,
Can you please help me with updating the Enfold- theme.
I have a wordpress website, which used to have another theme. Now my client wants me to change the website, so I have chosen to use your theme.
We have 5 licenses of your theme. For this new website I uploaded the zip-file of the theme, which I used for another website beofre. That other website is no longer active, so I though I can use the theme then for this website. Now I have uploaded the zip, unpacked and activated the theme, it’s an old version of the theme. Currently version 3.7.1 is now installed, when I start the update , update is failed because URL is invalid?
Can you please have a look at it?
Thank you,
RenateCan somebody please let me know if you can help me with this?
Thank you
Renate

March 1, 2019 at 8:10 am #1072954Hi Renate,
The update to 4.5.x has to be done manually unfortunately, please refer to my replies in this thread: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-4-5-theme-update-update-failed-download-failed-a-valid-url-was-not-pro/#post-1021541
You can either update manually via FTP: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update, or use a plugin to upload the theme zip file: https://wordpress.org/plugins/update-theme-and-plugins-from-zip-file/
Also please read this after you have updated: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-registration/
I would suggest that you download the latest version from your Themeforest account and upload that instead, that is likely the easiest way of installing the theme.
Best regards,
RikardMarch 14, 2019 at 12:51 pm #1078675Dear Rikard,
I have downloaded the latest version at Themforest and uploaded that one. Unfortunately it’s not being updated. I guess I leave it as it is and work in the ‘old’ version of the theme. Furthermore I have another question. The website is already live now. My client writes a post every saterday. Last saterday was the first blog after going glive. At the newest blog, the excerpt is not showing on the blog overview page (on all the ‘older’ blogs, which were posted in other theme, the excerpt is shown). I guess I have to change something in the Enfold settings/Blog layout? But I have no idea how to. Can you please help?
Another question. Some blog articles say 0 Reactions, other blog article does not show this. I want this ‘off’ with every article. Can you please tell me how?
Thank you,
Renate-

March 16, 2019 at 8:03 am #1079377Hi Renate,
Thanks for the update. Are you using the Layout Builder to create you posts? If so then everything has to be added to it manually, that includes the excerpt. If you don’t see the excerpts field then please select to show it under Screen Options in the top right hand corner of the edit screen.
Best regards,
RikardMarch 18, 2019 at 11:37 am #1079834Thanks Rikard,The excerp is solved!
How about the 0 reactions? How can I make sure that is not shown?Kind regards,
Renate
March 20, 2019 at 1:35 pm #1080809Hi,
how can I create a new topic inside the support forum?
I have one problem with the layout of the site, after updating the theme, that changes between english and italian language, the pages in italian language are wider that ones in english language.
This is my site: http://www.know-how.itThanks,
AnitaMarch 21, 2019 at 4:58 am #1081139Hi Renate,
Sorry for the late reply. Please try this in Quick CSS to remove the reactions on single posts:
.single-post .comment-entry { display:none; }
Best regards,
RikardMarch 21, 2019 at 4:59 am #1081140Hi Anita,
There is a big blue button on top of the Enfold subforum, please try to click that or use this link.
Best regards,
RikardApril 15, 2019 at 8:30 am #1090872Dear Rikard,
Unfortunately this Quick CSS is not removing the reactions. on singel posts.
Some posts have ‘0 reactions’ and in others you don’t see this.
Can you please have a look?Thank you!

Where can we see an example of this? I had a look at the post in private but I can’t see any comments on the post.
