    I just tried updating from 3.71 to 3.8 and the result was

    Warning: require_once(framework/avia_framework.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/truelife/public_html/wp-content/themes/enfold/functions.php on line 131

    Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required ‘framework/avia_framework.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php’) in /home/truelife/public_html/wp-content/themes/enfold/functions.php on line 131

    and I was unable to access the site. I then uploaded and unpacked the enfold theme back in the directory and the site is back up, but WP is saying that it did not update and to try again. When trying to update WP the same error message appears.

    Any insight to what the problem is and how to fix it?

    Please try upload the files through FTP file and that will do fix your issue.
