    Hello dear Staff,

    I have created a site with Enfold /Enfold Child.
    I received the notification of an update available for Enfold. I have 4.7.5 version and it is available version 4.7.6.4.
    I wanted to be sure of how to update without damaging the content of the site.
    I made anyway a complete backup.
    Is there a tutorial which explains how to procede?

    Hi Antonio,

    To lessen the risk I would suggest creating a staging site first (basically it’s a duplicate of your live site placed in your subdomain so it has the same environment) and apply the updates there.

    Then update it via the method I posted here: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/a-bit-urgent-enfold-theme-and-child-theme-update-not-working/#post-1254106

    Then check if everything works properly on the staging site, if there are no issues, then updates on the live site would most likely (99.9%) have no issues.
    Otherwise, if it has some issues then you can post here and we’ll try to help and post solutions that you can document and apply after you update your live site.
