    Hi,
recently updated to newest version of Enfold theme and the site went down and it said:
    HTTP ERROR 500
Tried to manually update theme and upload files and I still have the same problem.
We are currently running on 7.1 php version on c panel.
Tried to replace the “problem” as seen on a different thread but the problem still persist and cant access wp-admin at all.
Please provide a answer to the problem.

    Hey alex1970ns,

Would you be able to restore the site from a backup? If you are running the latest version of the theme and you have PHP 7.1 on the server then there’s no reason for the site not working. Did you try to rename the plugin folder to check if there is a problem coming from any of your plugins?

Please always update on a staging version of your site in the future to avoid problem like this.

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Hi,
Unfortunately nothing worked … tried renaming the plugins folder, tried to see if .htaccess file is corrupted and that didn’t solve the problem also.
Why is that every time the theme updates my website crashes and I need to look for solutions on the web for hours.
If we don’t resolve this problem I will be force to switch to another theme basically, cause I don’t want the headaches anymore.
I know you are doing your best but literally every time I need to update the theme I hold my breath and every time it crashes.

    I tried everything you suggested.
Now we get HTTP ERROR 500

    Hi,

We would like to apologize for the troubles.

This is why it’s so important to have a clone or a dev site, so you can test the latest version or do an update without having the risk of taking the live site down. What is the version of the theme prior to the update? Please post the WP and FTP details in the private field so that we can enable the debug mode and inspect the site.

    Best regards,
