    Hi,
I have a website running with Enfold version 2.0.1. PHP version is 4.6. An PHP update cannot be done because of problems with the theme.
Do I have to buy a new Enfold 4.8 to have a serious update?
Can a Enfold 4.8 function as an update for 2.0.1?

Hope to hear, thank you, Marianne

    Hi Marianne,

    Thanks for contacting us!

You do not need to repurchase the theme, you can simply login on ThemeForest with the account you used when purchasing the theme and go to Downloads page to download the latest version of the theme and update it via FTP – https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-update/. Since you will be updating from a very old version, you may need to re-configure some settings/options such as header and widget areas.

The latest version of Enfold is compatible with PHP 8.

I hope that helps. Let us know if you have any other questions :)

    Regards,
    Yigit

Thank you very much, it helped a lot. Was quit easy now.
    Now I have another problem.
I noticed I bought 1 license in 2013, but used the theme for 2 websites: anderhalfa4.nl and buropaasberg.nl
That’s not the way it should be, I realise now.

I used the update now again for both sites, but want to pay for this second license as well.
How can we do that ? Without trouble with the websites of course :-)

Hope to hear, kind regards, Marianne

    Hey Marianne,

    Glad it worked fine!

You can simply go ahead and purchase another license. Then, please refer to this post – https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-registration/#how-to-generate-a-envato-personal-token and insert Personal Token in Enfold theme options so you can receive auto updates from WordPress dashboard and update the theme with a single click :)

    Regards,
    Yigit

I need to understand how to attach the token to my WordPress site so that it automatically updates the website theme/token. I’ve created a new personal token however I’m still experiencing this error message when going to “update themes” in the enfold section of wordpress…..

Last time we checked the token we were not able to connect to Envato:

    Purchases could not be accessed
Username could not be accessed (needed for your information only)
E-Mail could not be accessed (needed for your information only)
    Following errors occurred:

Purchases: Errorcode 403 returned by Envato: Forbidden:
    – response_code: 403
    – reason: scope-missing
username Errorcode 403 returned by Envato: Forbidden:
    – code: not_authenticated
email Errorcode 403 returned by Envato: Forbidden:
    – code: not_authenticated
Purchases: A problem occurred accessing your purchases. Unable to check for updates.

I need to update my PHP version to it’s latest, however, this issue is preventing me from doing so. Thank you!
