Hi there,
I read a lot of posts on your forum about updating Enfold and WP 5.0.x.
The info is not clear anymore fo me. So I hope you can help me out.
My current versions are 4.9.8 and Enfold 4.4
What is the best way to update WP and Enfold and in what order?
Hopefully you can help…

Oke, thnx…
Do you know if the last version of WP is compatible with the last version of Enfold?
And… which update do I have to do first.. WP or Enfold?
Do I need the ‘classic’ plugin for WP?

Hi,

The update to 4.5.x has to be done manually from the version you are running unfortunately, please refer to my replies in this thread: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-4-5-theme-update-update-failed-download-failed-a-valid-url-was-not-pro/#post-1021541

You can either update manually via FTP: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update, or use a plugin to upload the theme zip file: https://wordpress.org/plugins/update-theme-and-plugins-from-zip-file/

You don’t need the plugin since there is an option for that in the latest version of the theme. I would recommend that you update the theme first, then WordPress. Though it shouldn’t matter in which sequence you perform them.
