    I can’t update my enfold version.
    This message appears when I try to update: An error occurred while updating Enfold: Download failed. A valid URL was not provided.
    In private content I give my psw to enter in my website for solving issue. Thanks.

    Hey soniavoice,

    Sorry for the problem. The update to 4.5.x has to be done manually from the version you are running, please refer to my replies in this thread: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-4-5-theme-update-update-failed-download-failed-a-valid-url-was-not-pro/#post-1021541

    You can either update manually via FTP: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update, or use a plugin to upload the theme zip file: https://wordpress.org/plugins/update-theme-and-plugins-from-zip-file/

    If that doesn’t work then please try to delete the whole theme folder, then replace it with the new version. Make sure that you have backups of the site before starting updating.

    After you have updated then try to activate the Classic Editor in the main page of the theme options.

    I tryed in different ways. It’s not possible to update!
    Also manually or with plugin the message is: The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet. Theme installation failed.

    I have a child theme also and I can’t risk to delete the whole theme folder. Do you think this update problem will be solved with next theme version?

    And also I have inserted my Themeforest API Key in enfold theme panel but why in my footer you continue to keep your link?

    Hi,

    Update issue is not related to the theme but related to changes in Envato API and only way to make auto update work is to update older Enfold versions than 4.5 manually.

    I updated the theme to the latest version for you. Please review your website

    Thanks very much. Now my Enfold is update :)
    I continue to have probelm with footer. I don’t want to remove my link in footer (privacy or sitemap). But every kind of text I insert in footer Enfold link appears automatically. I want to remove only Enfold outlink.

    You are welcome. I added [nolink] to the end of your copyright info in Enfold theme options > Footer as suggested in documentation. Please review your socket section :)
