Unfolding text on frontpage

Hey
I was wondering if its possible to unfold text in this theme? When I mean by unfolding it means that you see the introduction of a longer piece of text and then are able to press a button and stay on the same page and see the rest of the text that will not appear until the button is pressed.
I know I can work around it by placing a bit of text and then a button underneath it and redirecting to a subpage with the full lenght of the text but that is not really an optimal solution for our purpose since it will get people away from our frontpage
