Hi there,
I’m having a problem with my WP site, and hosting support suggested it may be a problem with the theme. The site is below, running Enfold and Enfold Child. The problem is with Woo Products. I have created two products, using Woo Bookings (for a shuttle bus booking service) and Woo Add-ons (adding pick up and drop off points for the shuttle bus). There are a lot of add-ons (bus stops), around 200.
The first time I created the product, it saved and worked fine. Since then I have been unable to save any changes to the product. That is, I can make the changes, e.g. change price, but then it will not save. After saving it reverts to the previous settings.
Through Woo, I found this:
In this article and several others online, it was suggested changing ‘PHP max_input_vars’ via the host. I have done that. They have changed it from 1000 to 5000.
However, under Woo/Status, it still shows 1000. They insist it’s been changed but perhaps there is something in the theme that is stopping it from changing.
Is that possible? If it is how can we change it?
Thanks and regards,
GuyCurrent settings according to Woo/Status are:

Parent theme version: 4.2.5November 19, 2018 at 6:02 am #1035025Hey Guy,
Could you try updating the parent theme to the latest version (4.5) to see if that helps please? https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update. Please note that you might have to delete the old version before you upload the new one in order for it to install properly, or use a plugin like this in order to upload the new zip file: https://wordpress.org/plugins/update-theme-and-plugins-from-zip-file/.

Thanks for the message.I tried the click to update option and received the error:
“An error occurred while updating Enfold: Download Failed. Problem Downloading Theme.”So I tried the plugin you suggested. It seemed to upload OK, but when installing, the following error message came up:
”
Installing Theme
The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet Them installation failed.
”Is there another way to do this?
Thanks in advance,

YigitNovember 20, 2018 at 12:31 am #1035359Thanks so much for doing that Yigit.
However, the problem still remains. That is, i cannot save changes to a Woo Product.
I would have guessed it’s not a theme issue, but hte hosting company suggests it might be, hence the thread here.
As mentioned, I think it could be the ‘PHP max input vars’ setting. The hosting company says they changed it to 5000. However, under Woo/Status, it still shows 1000. They insist it’s been changed but perhaps there is something in the theme that is stopping it from changing.
What are your thoughts?
November 20, 2018 at 7:20 am #1035437With help from the host, we seem to have fixed it. We had to override the theme functions with a ‘PHP Settings’ plugin and that seemed to work.
