I’ve a problem with the translation of WordPress into Dutch. I’ve set the language to Dutch, installed Loco Translate and exported the Dutch .mo and .po file. I’ve created a folder ‘lang’ in my Child Theme and copied those files into their.

I think I’ve done everything I need to do but the language is still in English. Can anybody help me with this problem? I’ve the latest version of WordPress and Enfold 3.6.1.

    Hey rob_alblasserdam,

If you like to install a Dutch version of WordPress, it is available in here https://nl.wordpress.org/

If you like to convert the existing WordPress site from English to Dutch

Go to Settings > General > Site Language.
Select the Language from the drop down options and save the changes.

If that does not work Please post us your login credentials (in the “private data” field), so we can take a look at your backend.

    Login credentials include:

    • The URL to the login screen.
    • A valid username (with full administration capabilities).
    • As well as a password for that username.
    • permission to deactivate plugins if necessary.

    Best regards,
    Vinay

    Thanks for your reply!

The site language is already in Dutch. Hope you can do something with the credentials.

    Hi,

The wordpress backend is in Dutch language.

Could you please elaborate where you are seeing the english language?

    Best regards,

At the front-end of the website I’m seeing things like “Read more” and the search result page is in English for example.

    Hi,

    refer to:https://kriesi.at/support/topic/search-results-translate/
    or use Poedit.

    Hi Andy,

Can you be a little bit more specific? The link is nice, but it doesn’t help me. I don’t know what to do. The back-end of WordPress itself is in Dutch (perfect!), but the front-end is in English. It is saying read-more, search results etc. I want this to be also in Dutch.

    Hi,

use a plugin like Loco Translate or Poedit to translate WordPress’ default text strings in question.

    Best regards,
    Andy

    Hi,

I already installed the Loco Translate and downloaded the .po and .mo files and copied them into the ‘lang’-folder of my child-theme.

    Hi,

There might be some corrupted files, so please delete all theme files completely via FTP, before installing a fresh copy from your themeforest account. Here is a short tutorial on how to install the theme via FTP, in case you are not sure how that works:

I’ve removed the Enfold-folder and downloaded a new Enfold theme and copied it into the Themes folder, but I still don’t see any changes. The text is still in English… :$
