    Hello!

I am getting a Critical error on all single product pages of our site. Basically the pages are not loading correctly anymore (no header, broken layout, no product image, etc). It was working fine until a couple of days ago.
The rest of the site seems to work just fine, even the shop land page is in place.

I would really appreciate if you could look into this, since the page is online and selling products.

    Thanks!!

    Hi wedesignshanghai ,

There’s a 500 internal server error on the page in private, could you share server error logs with us please? Also, did you try deactivating all plugins except WooCommerce, and any custom code you might have added?

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Hi cluetzenkirchen,

Please open a new thread and include WordPress admin login details in private, so that we can have a closer look at your site.

    Best regards,

Hi Rikard, thanks for looking into this.
I’ll try to share the server errors with you. Unfortunately we hired a developer to fix a couple of things so I am not 100% sure about the code that has been added.
Will come back to you in a bit with those error codes.

    Thanks!

    Hi Rikard,
Find the log we got from Crazydomains in private.
Hope it helps solve the problem or at least figure out what’s breaking those pages.

    Thanks again, much appreciated.

    Hi,

Thanks for that. First of all, could you try updating the theme to the latest version (5.2.1) to see if that helps please? https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update. Also please update the PHP version on your server to 8.x.

If that should not resolve the problem, then please try to deactivate all plugins except WooCommerce, and disable any custom code you might have added in your child theme.

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Aloha,
    We have the same issue.
I am running WPEngine, with WordPress 6.1, PHP 7, Enfold Version: 4.6.3.1. When I move to PHP 8.0, the website crashes and I get these errors:
WordPress caught an error with your theme, Enfold.
Error: This theme failed to load properly and was paused within the admin backend.
    And…
The page where the error was caught is /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php. Unfortunately the current Enfold theme throws a vulnerability error, so I really need to update PHP. Enfold Theme < 4.8.4 – Reflected Cross-Site Scripting (XSS).
Any ideas how can I move forward and fix this?
    Thanks.

    Aloha Rikard,

Message in WordPress re Theme Update:
No Updates available. You are running the latest version! (4.6.3.1)
Manual Update shows the same, no update available.

    PHP Your PHP version: 7.4.33
When I update PHP the whole site crashes, and I need to go into recovery mode, and revert back, see the error messages in my initial post.

This is my problem, I cannot update PHP and therefore the iThemes Security Pro plugin reports the theme to be a vulnerable software at every site scan since PHP 8 was released.

    Known Vulnerabilities
    Enfold Theme < 4.8.4 – Reflected Cross-Site Scripting (XSS)

    Any recommendations?
    Marion

    Hi,

Please try to update via the Envato Market plugin instead: https://envato.com/market-plugin/

    Best regards,
    Rikard

This will replace all my custom settings I have right now? I will install a new Enfold, disable the current one, and redo all Theme customizations again?

    Theme Options
    General Layout
    General Styling
    Advanced Styling

    Hi,

Updating the theme should not change any theme settings, but I would recommend that you back them up under Enfold->Import/Export before updating.

    Hey Rikard,

Sorry for the late reply. Took time to find a proper hosting platform and migrate the website.
The error displayed on our site was solved after migrating to a decent host with an updated PHP version and probably better ‘everything’.

For what is worth, I’d suggest everyone to avoid hosting with Crazydomains. Made quite a few sites using Enfold in the past and never experienced this kind of issues, from not sending emails and credentials to members to blocking specific URL access, to this last fatal error. Even migrating the site was an absolute nightmare.

Anyway, thanks a lot for your help! Great as always
