    Hi,
    I tried the easy theme update with the API key, but there is always an error: “Beim Aktualisieren von Enfold ist ein Fehler aufgetreten: Download fehlgeschlagen. Es wurde keine gültige URL übermittelt.”
    Then I tried to do the update manually via FTP. But it is also not working. The upload of the theme file always stops shortly before the end because 2 files can’t be uploaded.
    So how can I update the theme?

    Hey DiaHo,

    I see that you are running an old version of the theme, could you try to update to the latest version (4.5.7) to see if that helps please? The update to 4.5.x has to be done manually from the version you are running, please refer to my replies in this thread: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-4-5-theme-update-update-failed-download-failed-a-valid-url-was-not-pro/#post-1021541

    You can either update manually via FTP: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update, or use a plugin to upload the theme zip file: https://wordpress.org/plugins/update-theme-and-plugins-from-zip-file/

    If that doesn’t work then please try to delete the whole theme folder, then replace it with the new version. Make sure that you have backups of the site before starting updating.

    After you have updated then try to activate the Classic Editor in the main page of the theme options.

    Hi Rikard,
    I tried using the plugin -> did not work
    I tried deleting the old theme and uploading via FTP –> not working

    My website has been offline way too long now. Don’t want to loose my Google ranking ;(

    Please help.

    I attached a link to the screenshot of the failed FTP upload. It says it can’t upload 2 files and then it stops.

    Thanks for the screenshot and sorry for the late reply. I had a look at your site and I see that you are running the latest version of the theme already and your site looks fine, I’m guessing you managed to get it working?

    Hi Rikard,
    Thanks for getting back.
    I know it looks like it might be working. But the FTP upload hasn’t been complete. I did it a few times and it always misses to upload 2 files.
    How can the theme be working correctly if files aren’t uploaded correctly.
    Is there a way to check if everything is running smoothly?

    Hi,

    Thanks for the update, the two files you are referring to seems to be in the LayerSlider folder. If the LayerSlider is working as it should then I don’t think there is anything to worry about.
