Hi there,
The website: (www.lastfirst.com) that I designed for my client has crashed. We updated the Enfold theme Version to 4.2.6 and WordPress Version to 4.9.4 and when we visited the site, it comes up with this:
Fatal error: Can’t use function return value in write context in /home/lastfirst123/public_html/wp-content/themes/enfold/header.php on line 6
I am not sure why this is happening. I have many other sites using Enfold on WordPress with the updated themes, and they are all functional. Please let us know how to fix as soon you can. Thanks!

Can you please check server log for error?
Which version of php are you running?Best regards,
VictoriaMarch 20, 2018 at 4:12 pm #929907Hi there,
The server log for error is coming up blank. The PHP version was 5.4. We tried switching it to 7.0 and 7.11, but the website is still coming up with Fatal Error.
March 20, 2018 at 4:18 pm #929913Sorry, I meant PHP version 7.0 and 7.1.
March 20, 2018 at 5:30 pm #929984Update **
I ended up reinstalling an older version of Enfold (4.2.5) and it restored the site. Is there a reason why the newer theme version is crashing the site? We obviously would like to continue to have the most up to date theme version but we would love to avoid this issue again.
Thank you!

Well, sometimes not all the files overwrite properly and so the errors might occur.
Glad you got it working for you! :)
If you need further assistance please let us know.
Best regards,
VictoriaMarch 21, 2018 at 7:08 pm #930772Thanks Victoria,
I’ve always been happy with your prompt responses and customer support.
Do you have any suggestions on how to get the most up to date Theme Version without crashing the website?

Could you please post WP admin logins here privately as well so we can look into it?
