    Working in Hostgator WordPress optimized hosting. Domain not yet pointed (access via IP#). Using Chrome VHost plugin.

    VHost works perfectly (in terms of resolving/displaying pages, editors, WP backend, etc.)
    Avia page updates save just fine, but…
    Theme Setting items do not (logo upload/save, etc.) – throws “Saving didnt work!
    Please reload the page and try again” error.

    To the best of my knowledge, while my client’s IT folks are planning to point www traffic to the server, they have not done it yet. I am using the Chrome plugin VHOST to view/work in the site. Info to duplicate my setup in private section below…
    As was the case yesterday, everything works fine except saving in the Enfold theme settings area, where the saving error happens.

    @lightsites     I checked your site and I’m able to save the theme settings without any issue. Please see the screenshot attached below.

    if you have any issue with it please let us know exactly what are you trying to change and when do you see an error.

    Thank you for your reply.

    If you try to change the ENFOLD logo the following ERROR indication will appear.

    “Saving didnt work! Please reload the page and try again”

    Although editing is possible within fixed page, ENFOLD setting can not be changed.

    Hi,

    When I try to access the admin page I just get this error: “403 Error
    現在、このページへのアクセスは禁止されています。
    サイト管理者の方はページの権限設定等が適切かご確認ください。”

    Probably you’re blocking the access to the /wp-admin/ folder. This also breaks the theme settings page because we use the /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php to submit the settings data. Please make sure no firewalls and wordpress plugins (i.e. wordfence) block the access to this folder.     Note:
    In my case, the client eventually pointed the domain and everything now works perfectly, Theme Settings and all.
    That said, it would be helpful to figure out what caused the initial issue (especially since it happened only in Theme Settings.

    It’s hard to say; maybe a redirect/rewrite rule broke the ajax submission. I’m glad it works now.
