Hi
I am trying to verify my account with Google but am getting this error message “The Google Analytics tracking code on your site looks malformed”. Can you take a look?
Many thanks
Faye

I added the full code to your Google Analytics Tracking Code box, could you check if the error message is still there?
Best regards,

Yes the error message is still there.
Thanks

February 15, 2019 at 12:48 pm #1067437Hi Faye,
Where did you get the code and how are you adding it? I don’t see it in the header.php or the functions.php file.
Best regards,

I found another way.
I have the Yoast SEO plugin and added the meta data using this. Go to Webmaster Tools tab and past code in ‘Google search console’ (the meta code generated when trying to verify). Site has now been verified.
…Still can’t claim my knowledge panel, but this is something Google needs to help me with i think.
Thanks for all your help.
Regards
Faye
