Support,
I was instructed to open a new ticket for this issue. As many users have already noted, the text element (Among others – Testimonial, etc.) cannot be saved nor closed – page must be refreshed. I’m using Enfold 4.02. and WP 4.7.2 on WPengine. I know you guys are busy, so no rush. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!
EDIT: WP 4.7.3 was just released so I installed that, and still the problem persists. Just wanted to update the thread. Thanks!

March 13, 2017 at 2:17 pm #760014Hey!
Sorry for the late reply and thanks for your understanding :)
I logged in to your site and tried editing elements on your example page and could not reproduce the issue.
Could you please let us know step by step how to reproduce the issue? Also, which browser and OS are you using?Best regards,
YigitMay 1, 2017 at 11:16 pm #786024Sorry for my late reply – I’ve been on vacation! The problem, unfortunately, still persists.
Looks like Kriesi is aware: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/editor-element-live-preview/
Could you please confirm as I currently cannot build out a site. Also, do you have any sort of time frame on the new release?
Thank you!
May 2, 2017 at 5:19 pm #786557Hi,
please update to Enfold v4.0.5., deactivate all plugins and remove any customizations you’ve done, to check if one is causing this issue. Also there might be some corrupted files, so please delete all theme files completely via FTP, before installing a fresh copy from your themeforest account. Here is a short tutorial on how to install the theme via FTP, in case you are not sure how that works:

AndyMay 2, 2017 at 7:36 pm #786645Hi!
We were able to track the issue and will fix it with the next update. thanks for your help guys! :)
Cheers!
KriesiHi, I have done all of that and the theme is up to date. In the link I posted, Kriesi mentioned what is quoted above, which is what I was referring to in my previous post. Also, if you read the [Multiple} threads on the forums, you’ll see that it is not a plugin/corrupted file issue. Regardless, I have tried everything you had mentioned since it’s always the first thing I check.
May 3, 2017 at 6:56 am #786925Hi,
Thank you for the info. The fix will be included in the next version of the theme.

IsmaelMay 17, 2017 at 7:49 am #794683Ok, the issue has been resolved. However, now, the “enter” key doesn’t work in the “Text Element.”
I just wish this visual editor was not implemented. Seems like it has caused more issues than it has solved.
May 18, 2017 at 7:34 am #795285May 18, 2017 at 11:10 pm #796221Yes, which is why the original issue has been fixed. Can we just disable the “Template Builder”? It’s a pain in the ass (PITA) for people who don’t use the “Visual Editor.”
May 19, 2017 at 6:02 pm #796695I have tried various elements, and the enter key does not work in any of them. I have disabled all plugins, and still the problem persists. I have not has this issue until the most recent theme update on May 16.
May 20, 2017 at 3:45 pm #797020Hi,
Which element specifically? The enter button is not going to work once the editor or visual field is activated or focused. Clicking around the editor should re-enable the enter key again.
Best regards,
IsmaelMay 20, 2017 at 3:52 pm #797024To simplify things, let’s start with the “Text Element.” When creating a post within that element, I am no longer able to use the “Enter Key” to start a new paragraph. An example:
- When typing a paragraph, I cannot hit enter to move down so that I can create a list (Like I did here).
The enter key simply does not do anything when typing. Feel free to use the login credentials to see for yourself.
Thanks!
May 22, 2017 at 4:07 am #797354Hi,
I can’t reproduce the issue. Please check the following test page. (see private field)
Best regards,
IsmaelMay 23, 2017 at 1:27 am #798009So, WordPress has the “Visual” and the “Text” options when posting text. The “Visual” option allows me to use the “Enter” key but the “Text” option, the “Enter” key does not work.
In my wp-admin, I have my “Disable the visual editor when writing” option unselected in settings because when using the “Visual” option and then switching over to the “Text” option, it breaks the layout. Therefore, it’s deemed useless.
How do I go about getting the “Enter/Return” key working when using the “Text” option when writing a post?

Thank you.
May 23, 2017 at 7:21 am #798085Hi,
I see. Thank you for the info. We’ll report the issue to Kriesi. Please keep the test page for now. Is it ok if we deactivate the plugins temporarily?
Best regards,
IsmaelMay 23, 2017 at 3:28 pm #798317Sure, I won’t touch anything. It’s all yours! Thanks so much!
May 24, 2017 at 3:42 pm #798974Hi,
If I try to deactivate the plugins, the host asks for a backup creation. Should I skip this or do you have an existing backup?
Best regards,
IsmaelJune 2, 2017 at 5:27 pm #803122Sorry, I was away. You can skip that, as it automatically backups everything. Thanks for confirming!
June 5, 2017 at 11:31 pm #804217Hate to be a pain in the butt, and I cannot find many similar issues (Maybe most people use the “Visual Editor” ), but are their any updates on this issue? Since updating to the most recent versions, the site has not been able to be touched in over a month, unfortunately.
Thanks so much!
June 6, 2017 at 7:57 am #804371Hi,
I’m sorry for the late response. We have forwarded the issue to Kriesi and it might take a while before we can provide an actual fix to the issue. Please wait for his response.
For now, please enable the visual editor.NOTE: Ignore my statement about “enabling the visual editor”.
Best regards,
