    Hi,

For some reason we cant edit one of the text blocks to update the link to a new pdf (its a term calendar that updates quarterly or so).

When i click the block to edit the text it just stays blank.

Also i noticed all the text block UI (WSIWYG) has changed quite a bit and it seems to be code-only instead of the text/code switchable interface which was easier for some of the less-savvy users to use and update things with, am i able to switch it back to how it was before?

I’ve linked the specific page and block in the private info area

    Hey tokenofhon,

Thanks for the login details, I get the same problem on my end. Could you try to update to the latest version of the theme (4.5.7) to see if that helps please? The update to 4.5.x has to be done manually from the version you are running, please refer to my replies in this thread: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-4-5-theme-update-update-failed-download-failed-a-valid-url-was-not-pro/#post-1021541

You can either update manually via FTP: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update, or use a plugin to upload the theme zip file: https://wordpress.org/plugins/update-theme-and-plugins-from-zip-file/

Also please read this after you have updated: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-registration/

    Best regards,

    Hi,

Thanks for the update, I get the same problem on my end. Could you enable debug mode in order to see builder shortcodes: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/intro-to-advanced-layout-builder/#debug-mode, then copy the shortcodes to a new page to see if that helps please?

    Best regards,
    Rikard

Hey mate you clicked the wrong text box, its the very last block that says “see below for your downloadable resources”

It still isnt working for me.

Also is there a way to get the text blocks to back how they used to be (with visual editor/text(code) seperate?

The person i have managing the updating on these downloadable links isnt code-savvy and is following a guide i made fore them with screenshots of the old WSIWYG

    Hi,

I could reproduce the issue. Thanks for pointing it out!
Could you please post FTP logins here privately as well?

    Best regards,
    Yigit

    Hi,

    Thank you for the update.

The admin-ajax.php file is not accessible. Where is the site hosted? Please ask your hosting provider and have them checked if the admin-ajax.php file is being blocked by the server. They usually add it in the module’s ruleset because that file tends to create a lot of requests.

    Hi,

It was being blocked but they have white listed it now, let me know how you go now

    Any luck boys?

I appreciate the help, this is a really weird one, never had an issue like this before.

If i can just get the WSIWYG console changed back mto how it was before (split between visual/text editing) then i can just delete the troublesome block and make a new one, this could be an easier solution?

Hey guys, great news i’ve sorted it out!

Bizarrely, to fix it i had to go into my user account, tick the “disable visual editor” box, save, then go back in, untick the same box and save.

I have absolutely no idea why that was causing the issue but its working now
