many plugins are able to trigger events based on tags and categories- stuff like exit intent popups, or sidebar widgets, etc.

however like many I use primarily pages. in fact, all the love at Enfold is within the pages, not so much in the posts.

I use simple tags plugin to give tags to pages, and that works for dynamic widgets to conditionally show/hide a widget based on a tag on a page.

however not all plugins work or are acknowledging the presence of a tag on a page…

I am trying this plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/post-tags-and-categories-for-pages/ for the same effect, and likewise, have intermittent results.

I’m curious if there is something within enfold that I need to set so that categories and tags are acknowledged on pages… I don’t need them displayed, I just want other stuff to work because a given page has a tag or is in a category.

as a related observation, on pages that are in categories now using the plugin above, that category does NOT appear on the enfold breadcrumb display. so something about the theme might be not permitting categories and tags on pages?

    Hey!

I can’t think of any reason why it would not work. I would try contacting the plugin author to see if they have any idea.

You could also try doing it manually. I found this which may help, http://www.sitepoint.com/wordpress-pages-use-tags/.

    Best regards,
    Elliott
