To improve the loading time we would like to find a way to only load the initial tab of the Tab Section when you load the page. Other tabs should be loaded when the tab is selected. Is there a way to achieve this?
The ENFOLD Masonry element has a feature to select “animated” which makes the elements load only when you scroll to the section that has the masonry element. The ENFOLD Tab Section loads all tabs when you load the page. Once the page is loaded it is all very fast, but the first page load is too slow.
We have a TAB Section with 12 Tabs. Each Tab is for one month. We have an Events Calendar short code on every tab. Each tab page has quite some content which makes that page very slow to load. A feature to make only the first (chosen) TAB load would be nice.October 2, 2019 at 3:38 am #1144024Hey milano24ore,
Thank you for the inquiry.
That is possible but it will require modifications that are beyond the scope of support. Please hire a freelance developer, or contact our partner, Codeable. Thank you for understanding.

But all you are telling us is: “sorry to hear that you are not able to help yourself. hire someone who is smarter than you.”
Oh happy day.

“sorry to hear that you are not able to help yourself. hire someone who is smarter than you.”
I’m sure you know that’s not what we meant. We just can’t provide custom features for everybody who asked. It’s impossible. And what you see in the masonry element is purely aesthetic. The items are just hidden with css, so they are not visible on initial load, but they are still rendered in the page. A script will then trigger the animation once the element is visible in the view port. The animation actually degrades the performance of the page further, so it won’t help in your case.

IsmaelOctober 4, 2019 at 12:03 pm #1144944Of course, I was not happy that I cannot get what I want easily. But your explanation makes it clear why. A bit disappointing still. We thought there is a mechanism to load the bottom part of the page later when the user scrolls down. Or in case of the TAB Section, load the TAB sheet when it is actually needed. That would increase performance for everyone.
Anyway, thank you for getting back on this.
Kind regards

Thank you for understanding. The team is currently working on other features right now, so there’s a very low chance that they will prioritize new requests. What you can do right now is optimize the site as a whole. The following recommendations should help.
