Hi guys,
many thanks for the new version of Enfold. Great work!
Unfortunately, my subheadings (in German “Dachzeile” or “Oberzeile”) have disappeared after the update.
They used to appear above the post titles on the homepage as well as above the post title on the single post page.
The field is named “dachzeile”.
How can I re-activate these helpful subheadings?
May 17, 2018 at 5:18 pm #958264Hi fmg,
Please post us your login credentials (in the “private data” field), so we can take a look at your backend.
- Install and activate ” Temporary Login Without Password “.
- Go to ” Users > Temporary Logins ” on the left-side menu.
- Click ” Create New “.
- Add the email address for the account ( you can use (Email address hidden if logged out) ), as well as the ” Role ” making that the highest possible and the expiry about four days
( do be sure that we have enough time to debug ). - Click ” Submit “.
- You’ll now have a temporary account. Please provide us here in the private section the URL, so we can login and help you out.
When your issue is fixed, you can always remove the plugin!
If you prefer to not use the plugin, you can manually create a admin user and post the login credentials in the “private data” field.Best regards,

May 19, 2018 at 12:58 pm #959045Hi fmg,
How are those subheadings added there? I do not see them in the code anywhere.
Best regards,
VictoriaMay 22, 2018 at 12:43 pm #960298Hi Victoria,
This could be the problem… We’ve used the plugin “Advances Custom Fields” (“Eigene Felder”) to realize subheadings. Now, after having the Enfold theme update installed, subheadings are not displayed anymore.
Thanks,
fmgMay 23, 2018 at 5:14 pm #960984Hi fmg,
Thanks for giving us that information, I’ve checked your plugins and noticed that Advanced Custom Fields is not installed, I see this plugin: ACF Content Analysis for Yoast SEO but I think you need the main plugin to show the custom fields in order for it to work. I also noticed that you’re not using a child theme, and if you made some tweaks on the enfold theme files then it would be lost during the update unless you use a child theme.
Best regards,
NikkoMay 23, 2018 at 5:18 pm #960988Thanks for your feedback, Nikko. Please note that the plugin is installed – when using WordPress in German the plugin title changes from “Advanced Custom Fields” to “Eigene Felder”. A bit confusing.
With the new update of Enfold, I’m not really sure where to include the custom field’s name in the source code so that it appears in the above explained manner.
May 24, 2018 at 9:38 am #961390Hi fmg,
I see, I have checked on it and I see the Custom Fields.
Did you modify the Enfold theme before? I was expecting you have a child theme since ACF shows in the backend but you need to modify some theme files in order for it to show.
Please use a child theme first: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#why-child-theme then override loop-index.php in order for it to show up.
If you need assistance after adding the child theme, please provide us with ftp access. And post the details in private content.Best regards,
Nikko -
