Hi
My clients has been complaining about spam with using the Enfold contact form. I also hope it gets fixed in the next release!
LyseMay 2, 2017 at 4:36 am #786090I just launched a new site yesterday and I’m getting an insane amount of spam from a contact form that’s not even on the website. I’ve blanked out the specifics in [square brackets]
Example email:
New Message (sent by contact form at [website])
Name: 5907ee7b81ce7
E-Mail: [email address]@gmail.comI’ve checked my site 3 times and I can’t find a contact form with that subject line and the only visible form goes to a different email address. This is going to my WordPress admin address only, which isn’t on the site anywhere that I can see.
May 2, 2017 at 7:55 am #786197Hi @steveclikk,
If you don’t have a contact form on the site then it would not be possible for spam bots to send you emails unless they send it directly, maybe you can try to locate it?
If you are unable to find it then please start a new thread and include admin login details in private so that we can have a closer look.
Best regards,
RikardMay 12, 2017 at 2:05 am #791992I have the same problem. Keep receiving spam emails like below., I even remove the Contact form page, but still receiving spam email few times a time. Can they look at this problem seriously?
Name: 5914f892e6231
E-Mail: XXXXXX@gmail.comMay 16, 2017 at 3:21 pm #793986Hi,
if you are receiving spam and think you have removed every instance of the contact forms please post us your login credentials as well so we can take a look at the backend.
From what I can tell by checking our code base there should be no option to send a mail if there is no contact form on the page but maybe we are missing something…
Best regards,
KriesiMay 16, 2017 at 11:36 pm #794540Hi,
We can’t remove the main contact page from the live site, but you’ll be able to see that the only contact form sends to a different email address than the one receiving the spam.
Thanks guys. The information is below.

PicMay 22, 2017 at 8:16 am #797437I’ve got 20+ spam mails in the last 2 days, all through the enfold contact form
May 22, 2017 at 9:19 am #797480Hi guys, do consider Spam Protection by CleanTalk plugin, honestly. It did the job for me, not a single spam now. At least until this is resolved, especially if your clients are suffering daily!

It is the same spambot(?) with (Email address hidden if logged out) . All my forms uses captcha so I’m not sure how we can tackle it this time.
Please advise.
Thanks.
January 28, 2018 at 7:21 pm #903918Hi,
As for now, it is better if we check your installation only, as the issue has not been visible to anyone else for 6 month.
Because of that, I will close the topic here and create a new ticket where we can check it out for you.
