    Hello Kriesi Support Team

I have an issue as in that the social media icons are not loading correctly in Safari (latest version)… I added them to a footer widget with the the following short code:

    [av_font_icon icon='ue8f5' font='entypo-fontello' style='' caption='' link='manually,https://www.facebook.com/nourishedandnurtured/' linktarget='' size='50px' position='left' color='#000000' custom_class=''][/av_font_icon]

    [av_font_icon icon='ue909' font='entypo-fontello' style='' caption='' link='manually,https://www.instagram.com/nourishedandnurtured/' linktarget='' size='50px' position='left' color='#000000' custom_class=''][/av_font_icon]

    [av_font_icon icon='ue8fc' font='entypo-fontello' style='' caption='' link='manually,https://www.linkedin.com/in/shakti-grace-b06612136/' linktarget='' size='50px' position='left' color='#000000' custom_class=''][/av_font_icon]

It is loading them correctly when I look at the site in Chrome but not in Safari… they should be black and 50px in size… it used to work but I think since the second last update it is no longer working in Safari.

Thanks so much for your help. Below the details and also login in case you need.

    Hey Corina,
You have a plugin “Page Links To” that is giving a 404:

    /wp-content/plugins/page-links-to/js/new-tab.js

I believe it is cause the page to hang until time out, at which time the icons change to black.
    Please disable the plugin.

    Best regards,
    Mike

    Hey Mike

Thanks so much for the information provided above. I went ahead and disabled the mentioned plugin and the issue persisted. I then went ahead and disabled every plugin and the issue persisted.

Then I noticed that the issue was only on 2 pages, “Home” and “Blog”. The commonality on these 2 pages is the masonry blog feature. Once I removed it from the home page. The social media icons were loading. So I added it again and tried all different kinds of configurations to work out if it was a setting or the actual masonry element.

What I found out is, that the social media icons do not load if I change the setting to the following:

“Flexible Masonry: All entries get the same width but Images of each entry are displayed with their original height and width ratio”

If I use “Perfect Grid” it works… unfortunately this is not suitable as the Title cuts into the photo with this setting.

You can see the difference if you go on Home, where it is now working (although with it cutting into the images) and then click on blog and scroll down and there the social media icons are not loading.

I added login details below if you’d like to have a look.
Thanks so much & Kindest Regards, Corina

    Hi Corina,

Did you get the issue fixed? I am seeing the social links in Safari on the home and blog pages. Or do you still need some help?

If you need further assistance please let us know.
    Best regards,
    Victoria

    Hi Victoria

Thanks for responding. no it has not been solved. As pointed out above (my last post), the only workaround was using a different setting for the masonry blog post display. Which is not solving the issue as we need to use the “flexible masonry”.

I also will post the link to the development server, where it is the setting that causes the issue.

    thanks so much, Corina

    Hi,

Can after changing the Mansory grid, run a plugin called ” Regenerate Thumbnails ” and let us know if that would work?
    Thank you

    Best regards,
    Basilis
