Hi
After a month of testing, we have the conviction that ENFOD theme 4.7.5 on WordPress 5.4.1 is causing crashes of the website.
It looks like the editor is desactivated, the contennt managed by AVIA desappear.Example of issue cause by enfold on both sites. (cf picture link)
https://lambda.globalbpa.com/wp-content/uploads/assignments/lambda-screenshot-20200602-02.gifThe cause is unclear to us. it mostly happen whe one publish a page, and the entire site content managed by AVIA deasappear.
We have installed a stagging web site on a powerful server in order to uplift all wordpress thresholds, and the issue appears in the same manner:
– page creation
– or import of AVIA code from an existing page into a new page of the stagging site (for example https://www.globalbpa.com/covid-19-referentiel-reglementaire/) caused crashes.
When the site crashes, although we restaure the database, any published page using AVIA systematically leads to a crash (cf above picture link)Can you help?
Best regards

The screenshot you posted leads to a 404 page, and the login details don’t work. Please check and verify.
If the problem is that you are losing your content when saving then it’s likely due to open html markup in your content somewhere before it starts breaking. Please look for and close any open markup you might have in your content.

Thanks for the update and login details. I’m not sure I understand the problem though, I edited the page in private and that seems to be loading the Layout Builder without any problems. Is this happening on specific pages only? If so then please link to the problem pages directly. If I’m not understanding the problem correctly then please try to explain a bit further or post working screenshots highlighting the problem.
Best regards,

I think it is related to your cache plugin. I checked your pages including your blog page on your testing installation however I am not able to reproduce the issue. All elements load fine and does not display any warning.
If your page content is missing after updating, that is probably related to broken custom HTML on your page as Rikard mentioned earlier. However I tried duplicating your page on my local installation and none of the elements were deleted.
Since you mentioned database issue, I went to Enfold theme options > Performance and choose to disable adding unique timestamp option – https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/optimization/#troubleshoot.
If none of the above helps, could you please share a link of the page where we can see the issue? :)

Thank you for your answer.
We have desactivated our cache mangement plugin (WP Rocket), and then we have followed the same operating procedure:
– add a new blanck Page
– activate the advanced editor (AVIA)
– paste the same AVIA code into the blanck place holder of the new Page we are creating: https://lambda.globalbpa.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/globalbpa-wp-fiches-metiers-vue-generale-code-AVIA.pdf
– Press the “publish” buttonAnd …
The same crash occuredI wait for your advice,

I tried creating a new page with shortcodes and it works fine there so I am guessing you are only experiencing this issue on Landing Pages post types, is that correct?
Could you please post FTP logins of your testing environment as well?
Best regards,

I am pretty sure there is a misunderstanding.
I could not make sure what exactly was the issue you were having yesterday, therefore I tried suggesting 3 solutions to 3 different problems. That is partly because some of the links you shared are not working and not to waste your and our time, we recommended possible solutions. From what I understood from other 2 screenshots I attached in private content field, “notice instead of element is displayed” is the issue but that would not crash your site.
I could reproduce that by following your instructions here – https://kriesi.at/support/topic/site-database-crash-with-avia-enfold-4-7-5-wp-5-4-1/#post-1220865 but again, that would not crash your site or database.
I understand your frustration but we need to understand the issue clearly in order to provide you an accurate solution. FTP logins will help us check the logs but if you are seeing an error message other than “element notice”, please share a screenshot of it as well.
Best regards,
