Hey guys,
I made a website for a friend of mine and since the site was a little bit slow, she asked another friend, if he can make some adjustments to speed up the website. Since then he installed a lot of plugins and maybe made other big changes.
Now we wanted to make some adjustments to the site, f.e. change or add new text(blocks)
and adjust the background color of her footer & socket.
But when I try to change the general styling options, non of my changes appear on the actual website.
When I try to add or adjust a text block, the usual appearance where you can see visually what you’re typing and editing (font size, etc.),
is not shown. I can only see the code and next to it the element preview is either empty or shows a note, that there were some HTML tags added, which I have to delete first to see the preview properly.I tried as well to update Enfold, without any success.
Would you mind to have a look at the site? Maybe all these things can easily be fixed. :)
Thanks a lot,

What’s your site?
I tried as well to update Enfold, without any success.
Which Enfold version are you using at the moment? If it’s 4.4.1 or older you have to update manually. I would suggest doing it by FTP, should work like a charm.
Afterwards you should be able to edit content again like you were doing it before.
Cheers
MichaelJanuary 20, 2019 at 10:52 am #1056111Hi,
Could you try to update the theme to the latest version (4.5.2) first of all please? The update to 4.5 has to be done manually from the version you are running, please refer to my replies in this thread: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-4-5-theme-update-update-failed-download-failed-a-valid-url-was-not-pro/#post-1021541
You can either update manually via FTP: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update, or use a plugin to upload the theme zip file: https://wordpress.org/plugins/update-theme-and-plugins-from-zip-file/
Also please read this thread: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/updating-to-enfold-4-5-and-validating-personal-token/
Also make sure to clear the cache from and disable your caching plugin, When to not use a caching plugin.
Best regards,

The hosting guy denied me the access to the FTP account,
so I contacted him, that he has to do the latest update for me.
After that I will have a look if all the other issues disappear.January 20, 2019 at 8:34 pm #1056293Hi coeval,
How is that possible?
Well, let us know how it all worked for you and if you need any more help.
Best regards,
