    I have searched but I am not finding anything that works to change all, including sidebar, elements to be semi transparent. The idea is to make text easier to read but still be able to see the image behind. This needs to apply to all content elements but obviously not media elements.

    Site URL and losing info in Private Content as the site is behind an under construction plugin.

    FYI any options I have found on the forums so far are not working.

    Hey MichaelAlbany,

    Would you mind posting us a screenshot/mockup of what you would like to achieve? You can upload the screenshot to imgur.com or dropbox and share the link here :)

    Please provide us admin access, instead of a normal account.

    Best regards,
    Andy

    User IID has been updated. sorry about that.

    The best I have for a mockup is the person who was able to achieve this: http://litc.be/wp-content/uploads/wp_left_top_transparency_navigation.jpg

    This was done with Enfold but the person never mentions how. The parts of the thread showing that code are not viewable.

    Sorry for the delay in getting back to you but I never received an email that you replied. hmm… My email sucks.

    PS – Here is something that has what I want, different theme but the right effect.
    http://sanchezariasphotography.com

    In fact, I need to recreate both the static background and transparent overlay for this client as well. I am working the this layout with the 21st license I purchased yesterday.

    So in addition to the transparent layout, I also need to do this static background. This site is being built on the domain in Private Content. I will create a login for you there as well.

    Basically I need the same thing for both sites. I would prefer you test on the site mentioned in private content below as that site has no content.

    Hi,

    sorry but I have no idea what you want to achieve. A mockup showing exactly what you want to achieve would still help a lot. I can find any sidebar menu on the site you’ve provided. Please make things clear for us.

    Best regards,
    Andy

    Andy,

    If you insist but you could get the same explanation by looking at the examples listed above

    Here is the example: Click here to view Example.png

    1. Shows the areas that should be semi transparent areas. (The header can be done page by page but I would like to just do it globally)
    2. The background should remain static. When using a color section the background is contained within the body area and I need this to be the entire background.

    The link provided above in my first reply to your request shows what I am talking about as well. This was not done by me however but another Enfold client who had other issues. That link is http://litc.be/wp-content/uploads/wp_left_top_transparency_navigation.jpg

    I hope this answers your questions because with out speaking verbally I don’t know how else to describe it.

    #674435

    PS – As this is for two separate sites I would like the ability to change the color of the transparency, Say black or grey for a light colored site or white or light grey for a dark colored site.

    Hi,

    we need a precise link with the elements in question, but the link you’ve provided is basically a blank page.
    However, try this code inside Quick CSS field:

    .container {
    background: rgba(0,0,0,0.1);
    }

    and adjust as needed.

    Best regards,
    Andy

    Andy, The links are both to images representing what I need to do. Additionally you have full access as an admin to that site so you can go into the media library and view the one there as well.

    I have added text to the home page so you can compare the two, the image and the actual page to compare them.

    To review.
    I need to set a single image as a background the the entire site, not single container areas. This image needs to be static and not scroll similar to this live page using a different theme: http://sanchezariasphotography.com

    Additionally I need the container areas to be semi transparent as shown in these two images as well as this site:
    http://sanchezariasphotography.com
    http://litc.be/wp-content/uploads/wp_left_top_transparency_navigation.jpg
    http://create.madomains.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/Example.png

    What is happening can be see here:
    http://create.madomains.com

    Login credentials are in Private Content, same as before.

    Hi,

    sorry, but this is very confusing to me. We are here to assist you with basic support only, as written in our support policy. It seem that you need to customize the theme on a deeper level, so please hire a freelance developer for this job: http://kriesi.at/contact/customization

    Best regards,
    Andy

    Andy,

    Its really not that confusing. In fact I have found a way to make the body container have a transparency to it by adding a background image that is a semi transparent png. Allow me to narrow the questions down to this.

    1. Is there a way to set a single image as a none scrolling background for the entire site? (all content will scroll over it)
    2. Is there a way to set a background image to the sidebar?
    3. Is there a way to set the header to Transparent globally rather than on each page?

    Hi,

    1. Send us a link with such a background image and we’ll take a look and see what we can do for you. You current link doesn’t contain the elements in question.

    2. Yes, use this code inside Quick CSS field:

    #top #main .sidebar {
    background-image: url(https://www.absatzwirtschaft.de/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/Google_sucht_Partner_43679705.jpg);
    }

    and adjust url as needed.

    3. Unfortunately, it’s not possible to set the transparent header as default. You need to do it manually for all posts or pages.

    Best regards,
    Andy

    The image is here: http://create.madomains.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/myriad_background.gif

    Also it is the only image in the Media Library that is full size AKA larger than 10 pixels.

    Hi,

    I did a test page for you to show you how it’s done:
    s. private content

    Hope this help!

    Yeah I thank you but that is not what I need. I am thinking that This is the only time that Enfold will not work. If you look at http://sanchezariasphotography.com/about-us/ or any page on that site, You will see how the background fills the page. That is what I need, not just filling a particular section. I am aware that in your sample the image just isn’t big enough but at the same time it doesn’t include the header or footer as you have it laid out.

    If you look at this thread https://kriesi.at/support/topic/top-and-sidebar-menu-semi-transparence-fields/ You will see that the OP was able to achieve this. Unfortunately that thread is closed and I can’t ask the OP how they did it.

    In your example as soon as we add a sidebar the layout doesn’t work.

    If this cannot be achieved with Enfold, is there another theme by Kriesi that can do it? I have plenty of clients where the theme license can be used so I’m not wasting anything.

    Hi,

    try this code:

    #content {
    background-image: url(https://sanchezariasphotography.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/Size-1-polaroid_LS.jpg);
    }

    Best regards,
    Andy

    #675798

    Nope.

    Is there another Kiesi theme that may handle this type of layout? I prefer Enfold but I am open to suggestions.

    #675942

    Hi,

    I don’t think so.

    Maybe this helps: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/full-screen-background-images-possible-in-enfold/#post-172142

    I resolved this by using a 50% transparent 10×10 png as a background to sections/colors.

    This ticket should probably be closed.
