Hi. Just finished upgrading my theme to 3.2.2 but my section color background video is still not playing. i’ve tried deleting the .mp4 from my library and re-uploading it again hoping that it will be fixed after the update but to no avail. the weird part is that the .mp4 file is not even playing when i tried to play in inside my media library. It was ok when i had it in my local environment but when i moved it to our internal environment then the issue started happening. I was hoping that updating the theme to the latest version would resolve the issue but it didn’t. Unfortunately i couldn’t give you access as our environment is behind our company firewall. Please advise.

    Thanks!

    Hi nbfc!

Can you send us a screenshot of your settings for the video color section and the page in which it isn’t working.

It’s unfortunate that we can’t access your site itself, but here are a few solutions you can try:

    – You can first try disabling all of your plugins then check to see if their was a plugin conflict causing the video to not load.

    – You can try uploading the mp4 to youtube or vimeo.

    – How large or long is the mp4? You could try reducing the length of the video and see if it makes a difference.

    – Finally, are you experiencing this issue with all mp4s?

    Regards,

    Hi Dake,

Thank you for the suggestions. I¹ve prepared a quick screencast to show you how I am putting in the video. You¹ll notice that even after importing
the mp4 on my media library, the video is not playing. Is there a setting that i need to activate on my wordpress environment to make the mp4 video play?

    NOTE: the video is 4.7mb

    Thanks,
    -mike

    Hi nbfc,

Have you tried the other suggestions? Also is this the only mp4 that won’t play after being uploaded?

Since we can’t access the site ourselves and it was working on your local server.

I can only assume that their is a permission error with the company server.

Ensure that your server permissions are inline with the WordPress Codex: https://codex.wordpress.org/Changing_File_Permissions

    Best regards,
    Dake
