    Try this css:

    #socket > .container,
.title_container > .container {
	max-height: 58px;
	height: 58px;
}

    But when I move the footer all the way to the bottom,

    I just can’t seem to find this option.
    If I clear the background on the socket,
    does the gray shadow still remain?

    Hi,
    Actually it is:
    qsENDiJ.md.png
    The extra space is not apart of the page, it’s because you don’t have enough content and the page is too short:
    qsEt4g2.md.png
    Change the height in your color section to 100% page height, instead of no height.
