    Hi,

Yesterday I purchased the Enfold theme for this new website I’m designing. After a succesful installation, I suddenly noticed a I’m dealing with some ‘critical issues’ (see below and also see Tools/ Site Health in the WP Dashboard). I contacted the host and it might be a SSL thing…Could you please have a look? Login details WP dashboard are attached.

    The critical issues are:
The REST API encountered an error.
The REST API request failed due to an error.
Error: cURL error 35: Unknown SSL protocol error in connection to tascglobal.com:443 (http_request_failed)

Your site could not complete a loopback request
The loopback request to your site failed, this means features relying on them are not currently working as expected.
Error: cURL error 35: Unknown SSL protocol error in connection to tascglobal.com:443 (http_request_failed)

    Thanks,
    Jeffrey

PS. By the way, SSL has been enabled a few moments ago, but might be inactive yet (as I’m writing this)…I might replace the http with https under Settings/ general (WP and site URL)???

    Hi Jeffrey,

This is very likely not theme related, you could verify that by activating one of the default WordPress themes for example. Your hosting provider should be in a better position to help you out with this.

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Hi Rikard,

Thanks. I think you’re right. I contacted the host and it seems SSL wasn’t enabled properly yet… I still have this ‘issue notifications’, but it doens’t seem to affect anything. I might try activating a standard wp theme to check. Thanks for the suggestion.
I believe we can close this topic.

    Jeffrey.
