After update to enfold 4.6,google recaptcha not working
I get this on the website
“This contact form is deactivated because you refused to accept Google reCaptcha service which is necessary to validate any messages sent by the form.”I get this in the enfold child
I get the “Error on connecting to Google reCAPTCHA – please retry. The response parameter is missing.
The secret parameter is invalid or malformed.”all codes are correct
The only way i can get the contact form to work with some kind of spam protection is using the enfold recaptcha number thing. Not what i was looking for. It worked fine on the previous version anyone any ideas please as i am loathed to going backwards two days since i updated as i have done quite a few updates to my sites.
Cheers enSeptember 5, 2019 at 3:25 pm #1134446ive had to downgrade to the previous version i had installed few days ago only way i could solve the spam. hope you get it resolved. cheers en
September 6, 2019 at 7:13 am #1134761Hi,
Sorry for the problem, we released a new version of the theme just a few hours ago which should hopefully solve your problem. Could you try updating the theme to the latest version (4.6.1) to see if that helps please? https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update.

RikardSeptember 6, 2019 at 8:52 am #1134812ok ill back up my site files and database and give it a whirl. cheers en
September 6, 2019 at 9:15 am #1134828ok done it all good so far, errors gone, cross fingers thanks team, en
September 6, 2019 at 1:31 pm #1134918ok after leaving it i can now confirm that on the site with it i had to reconfim the keys again in the google child.
it only works if you have clicked the accept cookies option, otherwise the contact page will display
“This contact form is deactivated because you refused to accept Google reCaptcha service which is necessary to validate any messages sent by the form.”
it seems to have the same behaviour on any browser.
ill live with it until after the weekend and if you have haven’t found a solution ill down grade the site to the previous pre v6 version.
the old version did not do this regardless.

September 7, 2019 at 7:33 am #1135247Hi,
Thanks for the update and sorry again for the problem. We should hopefully have a new version available during the coming week which should fix all the problems with the new GDPR options.
Best regards,
RikardSeptember 7, 2019 at 10:53 am #1135302will do, ill try the update next week some time and post back, but ill back it all up before i do.

enSeptember 11, 2019 at 10:57 pm #1137276I also have the same problem and the same message.
Can anyone please tell me what setting should i make about these cookies and where? ” i had to reconfim the keys again in the google child.” – what keys are you talking about? I guess I am missing some important part. The form doesn’t send the message it has error “We are very sorry but something went wrong. Please try again later.” together with the message below “This contact form is deactivated because you refused to accept Google reCaptcha service which is necessary to validate any messages sent by the form.”
Will appreciate any guidelines.

September 12, 2019 at 4:58 am #1137356I’m having the same problem. Both v2 and v3 work at the back end, but not on the contact form, although no error messages appear in the browser console.
My site is actually only targeting people in Australia, where there’s no need to opt-in to receive cookies, so cookie consent messages are all disabled and should remain disabled.
Minor thing: the container class for the error message is “avia-disabled-forn” (with CSS to match) and should be “avia-disabled-form”.

September 12, 2019 at 9:32 pm #1137665September 13, 2019 at 3:13 am #1137748@comelen If the checkbox is not related to reCAPTCHA, you should start a new thread for this issue, and post your page URL.
September 13, 2019 at 6:30 am #1137799Hi comelen,
Please try this in Quick CSS to fix the missing label:
.av_form_privacy_check label.input_checkbox_label { position: initial; }
I couldn’t see the reCAPTCHA problem on your site though, on which page can we see it?

RikardSeptember 13, 2019 at 6:31 am #1137800Hi supporthealthclinic,
Where can we see the problem on your site? Are you running the latest version of the theme (4.6.2)?

RikardSeptember 13, 2019 at 10:09 am #1137880Yes, latest version.
September 13, 2019 at 11:33 am #1137951ok so i update one site to 4.6.2 today re captcha, when i go to verify the keys in the enfold child theme, i get this message with both 2 and 3
