    Hi there,

I´m a photographer and I´m using portfolio CPT to upload and categorize my images which is fine. Currently I show them on my website by using the masonry element because I like the masonry display and the “load more” function as well as the sort options.

What I want is when someone clicks on the (preview) image it should open the full image in a lightbox and not in a new single page. How can I do that?
I don´t want to use the masonry gallery element (if possible) because that would mean I need to add each image manually to the gallery. So an element that uses my portfolios to show the images in a masonry grid and opens them in a lightbox would be perfect.

    Ideas?
    Cheers
    Michael

    Hey Michael,

Can you give us temporary admin access to your website in the private content box below, so that we can have a closer look?

    Best regards,
    Victoria

    Hey Victoria

I don´t think it´s a specific question to my site but more a general question what which builder element can do. So I don´t know why you might need access to my site. Anyway to speed things up I added the credentials below.

    Hi,

That does not work on portfolio, but can it work on Gallery

    Best regards,

    Hey,

I know it works perfect with a gallery but that´s what I wanted to avoid because:

    1. Galleries are not managed in a single place but in each page/post individually and that makes it hard to manage them
    2. Galleries do not have sort options like Portfolios have.

So would be the perfect solution if you could add (in some theme update someday) the possibility to open (masonry) portfolio enties in a lightbox rather than a single entry.

I think for now the topic can be closed.

    Cheers

    Hi Michael,

There is masonry ajax portfolio, have you seen it?

It is sortable and it opens more info, not a lightbox, but a container on top.

    Best regards,
    Victoria

    Hi Victoria,

I know about the Ajax Portfolio but that´s not what I need. I really want a masonry portfolio with sort options that opens the items in a lightbox. But if that´s not available I have to live without it.

    Cheers
    Michael

    Hi Michael,

It is not available out of the box, unfortunately.

If you need further assistance please let us know.
    Best regards,
    Victoria
