    Hello friends of Kriesi.

I have a problem that cannot be solved. I have installed the latest (clean) version of WordPress. I have installed the latest version of ENFOLD and everything has worked correctly.

The problem comes when I try to go to the “Import Demo” section and try to install any Demo for Enfold (for example, “Photography Portfolio Demo”, “Shop Demo”, “One Page Restaurant Demo”, but they all give me the same error:

    “Error accessing file for download:

cURL error 28: Connection timed out after 10000 milliseconds”

I have tried with PHP 7.4, 8.0 and 8.1 but in all cases it gives me the same error. I have also tried changing the attributes in the FTP on the server, but nothing, the same error.

I have searched the forum, but I have not seen many cases like this, so I have not been able to solve the problem.

    Any ideas? Thank you!

    Hi Edyedu,

Thanks for giving us admin access.
It seems that the known solutions does not work on your site, some solutions may need access to Cpanel, so please try to follow the solutions listed in the following articles:

    Hello.

As I have already indicated in my previous message, my provider is OVH, and they do not have cPanel. If I need to be able to make special configurations (something that had never happened to me before) I think the ideal thing is that you tell me how I can install the DEMOS manually on my website.

    Best regards.

    Hi,
Thanks for the feedback, unfortunately the host OVH has the set_time_limit() function disabled on their servers this function is used by WordPress so the import doesn’t time out, this is different than the current PHP run time limit.
OVH also sets the Max input time as -1 this should be 180, in the past they have told customers that they will not change this, there is nothing we can do to correct that since it is the server settings causing the issue.
One user was able to import a demo by manually uploaded demo files with FTP client, this is the thread.

    Best regards,
    Mike

Nothing, I have mounted wordpress on a Synology NAS, I have imported the DEMO, and I have successfully cloned it into the web domain.
