    Hi, I have this problem: sometimes permalink to portfolio items stop work and direct link returns me a 404 page.
    I have to go in settings -> permalinks and simply click on “save changes” (else if I don’t change nothing) to reactivate it.
    Please let me know what I have to do to avoid this nasty problem.

    Hi, I created a new admin user for you. I send it in pvt.
    I installed plugin “Redirection” few months ago to try to solve the problem. I did some 301 redirect from Portfolio Items Base “portfolio-item” to Custom Items Base “Product”, but nothing changed.

    Hi,

    Thanks for that. I see that you are running an old version of the theme, could you try to update to the latest version (4.6) to see if that helps please? The update to 4.6 has to be done manually from the version you are running, please refer to my replies in this thread: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-4-5-theme-update-update-failed-download-failed-a-valid-url-was-not-pro/#post-1021541

    You can either update manually via FTP: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update, or use a plugin to upload the theme zip file: https://wordpress.org/plugins/update-theme-and-plugins-from-zip-file/

    If that doesn’t work then please try to delete the whole theme folder, then replace it with the new version. Make sure that you have backups of the site before starting updating.

    After you have updated then try to activate the Classic Editor in the main page of the theme options.

    Hi, I uploaded via ftp the latest version of Enfold: now version 4.6 is running.
    Then, I activated Classic Editor and entered Envato private token.
    Now permalinks to portfolio items works, I hope it will continue to work in the next days.
    A last question: there is a way to be warned if permalinks to portfolio items stop work?

    Hi,

    Great, I’m glad that you got it working again. There are likely ways that you can check if your URLs are returning the correct status code, maybe you could try an uptime monitoring service for instance?
