Hi i have problems with the easy slider.
The first 5 or 6 images are loading and fading correctly. Then a few images only load to the half in the first moment, then the other half comes. Looks very bad.
Images are only about 150kb.
Some images loading normal some not. What can cause that? But always the same ones.
Regards Simon
February 7, 2015 at 2:46 pm #392491Hey simonac!
Thank you for using Enfold.
The easy slider below the logo looks fine when I checked the page. Try to install a cache plugin or subscribe your site to CDN.

IsmaelFebruary 9, 2015 at 1:32 pm #393018Hi Ismael,
i tried a cache plugin but the problem is still there!
I found out that it only occurs in Firefox! While fading, the images stuck for a second at the horizontal. (First few images run ok but then it starts stucking…)
Chrome and Internet Explorer are not having this problem.

Simon

February 10, 2015 at 6:47 am #393501Hey Simon!
I checked the slider in the latest version of Firefox and it runs very smooth without any loading problems on my end. Could you try and clear the cache, restart, reload the page a few times and check again?
Best regards,

Again, the slider is working absolutely fine on firefox. Please try to use this plugin, set the it to default settings: https://wordpress.org/plugins/w3-total-cache/

IsmaelFebruary 13, 2015 at 6:14 pm #395929Sorry but i checked on different laptops on different locations. Some Friends checked also. Everyone has the problem with firefox. Other browsers are not having this problem.
W3 total cache is also installed.See the complete slider to check out. Must be a problem with firefox!

February 15, 2015 at 10:30 am #396321Hey!
We tested this plugin on our installation and it works. It should preload and prevent other images from loading when they are not inside the viewport. https://wordpress.org/plugins/rocket-lazy-load/
For what it’s worth, this is the screenshot:

IsmaelFebruary 17, 2015 at 11:55 am #397385Thanks Ismael,
i installed and tested it. The first few images are loading correctly – but then it starts again!
Again only in firefox.
This is also happening when i choose slide instead of fade:
This does not look very professionell to my clients.

February 17, 2015 at 6:57 pm #397710I want to chime in here and say I’m having the same loading problem with easy slider (only firefox -> tested on osx). Exactly as you describe it. 2-3 images load fluently without any problems then it gets jerky, half-loaded images etc.
On top easy slider refuses to reload when you open – close – open an ajax portfolio item where an easy slider is contained (only firefox as well).
February 18, 2015 at 11:08 am #398010Hi!
The problem is we can’t reproduce the issue. The images loads fine as you can see on the screenshot we provided above. I’ll ask the rest of the support team to take a look.
Cheers!

I checked your website on Firefox 35.0.1 on OS X 10.10, but i could not reproduce the issue either – http://i.imgur.com/Tq1TECR.jpg

YigitFebruary 19, 2015 at 12:42 am #398557Hi!
I think I see it on my end. After the slider rotates a few times the images start to appear cut off at certain parts correct? Your using quite a few images there, 22? Perhaps that has something to do with it. Try creating a new page and use just 2 – 3 images to see if the problem happens there as well.
Also be sure to deactivate all plugins while testing and let us know of any customizations that you have done.
Cheers!
ElliottFebruary 19, 2015 at 10:34 am #398746Hi Elliot yes that is the problem.
I already tested it with only a few images – same problem. Plugins also deactivated with no changes. As i mentioned one post earlier. the same problem is on another page. There you can see the same isssue with only 4 images in the slider.
I cant remember that the pborlem was there before so maybe it has something to to with on of the latest updates…

SimonFebruary 19, 2015 at 6:36 pm #399135Hey!
Hmm, are you sure you have not done any customizations? What happens when you slow the transition speed on line 3730 in /enfold/js/shortcodes.js?
transitionSpeed:1800,
Best regards,
ElliottFebruary 22, 2015 at 8:12 pm #400255…still the same problem after slowing the transition speed.
February 23, 2015 at 6:33 pm #400895Hey!
Sorry, not sure if it was clear or not but when I said “slow” I meant increase it to 2000 – 3000.
Hmm. I still can’t reproduce it on my XMAPP setup so I’m not really sure what to tell you here. If your using a vanilla copy of Enfold with no customizations and no plugins then it shouldn’t be happening on your site.
I don’t think it’s going to matter but try creating a copy of your theme settings in Dashboard > Enfold > Import/Export and then hit the “Reset All Options” button to see what happens.

@scfran, Which problem are you referring to? Go ahead and send us a link to your page and take a screenshot highlighting what is going on.Also be sure your using the latest version of the theme, 3.0.8, and that all plugins are deactivated while testing.

I don’t see it on the slider for your homepage. Is there a certain page it’s happening on?
Try clearing your browser cache and make sure Firefox is updated. Also be sure to disable any browser plugins or extensions you might have installed to see if they are causing the problem.
Best regards,
