    Hello,

    I’m updating http://www.covaca.es.

The website was made by an agency 4-5 years ago and I found 2-3 months ago that when updating some plugins and / or the wordpress version, the template icons, including those of social networks, are seen in the internal menu , but on the public web (they appear in the form of a square) …

    Any solution?

    Hello Yigit!

I can’t add that code you recommended … I must be doing something wrong. On the other hand, the problem is that the guys who made the web back in the day didn’t put the ‘purchase code’ in wordpress and I don’t have it …

    Thanks

    Joan

    Hi Joan,

1- Could you please share more information? .htaccess file is hidden so please adjust your settings to view hidden files.

2- I see. I noticed that you are using Enfold 4.0.7 which is a pretty old version of the theme and is not compatible with your current version of WordPress. You would need to have an access to ThemeForest account that was used to download the latest version of the theme. If you do not have access and would like to continue using the theme securely, we would recommend you to purchase a new license. If you decide to purchase a license and are not with the company, please create an account for them so they would not have such issues in future in case you stop working with them :)

    Regards,
    Yigit

The file its replacing but doesn’t work correctly. The icons don’t work yet… :(

Can you assure me that the new version of the theme will solve these problems for me?

On the other hand, I think that whoever made the web, uploaded a child theme, and maybe I’m not replacing the correct file. I’m not sure…

If I buy the new version, I am also not sure if I will know how to ‘keep / combine’ the ‘child theme’ with the new version …

It is not easy for me, since I have never worked with child themes.

    Hi,

I cannot assure that as this is not theme related but server related but I can assure you that compatibility issues you have or may have with your WordPress version would be fixed.

You would not need to replace the child theme. You would only need to update parent theme and maybe some files on your child theme if files such as footer.php or header.php modified on your child theme.

We could check the file for you to make sure you are editing the correct one however we only provide support to our registered users so I am afraid without registering we cannot do that.

    Best regards,
    Yigit
