Hi, I created a color section in my page linked with a customized ID, in order to reach a lower section of the page when you click on the link.
Problem is, when I click to the button staying in the same page (screenshot), this scrolls down perfectly where we need. Differently, if I click on that same link from a different page (or even if I send that link for example) page scrolls down too much and just bring the user to the wrong part of it. Also we are experiencing that sometimes it goes at the right spot and then if we upload the page, it would scroll deeper.
June 3, 2021 at 6:11 am #1303698Hey emanuelecocchiaro,
Thank you for the inquiry.
We cannot find those buttons in the landing page. Where did you add them? Please provide a direct link to the page so that we could check it. Are you referring to the contatti3 section?
Did you add a slider or any elements with animation in the page? It is possible that the scroll happens while those elements are still loading or in transition, so the anchor lands incorrectly.

June 7, 2021 at 2:32 am #1304310Hi,
Thank you for the links.
The issue occurs because there is a hidden grid layout element containing the same navigation element. Why do you have to duplicate the navigation? If you need to adjust its style, remove the margin and adjust the columns’ width on mobile view, you can use css media queries.

IsmaelJune 8, 2021 at 10:02 am #1304586Hi Ismael, thanks for your reply. I do have a double navigation in order to have two different aspects on desktop and mobile. We just thought since you added the function that let us hide on different devices, it could be useful to use.
Anyway we tried removing the double navigation bar but we haven’t solved the problem. Please help us fix it because we can’t find any logical reason for it not to work.
June 11, 2021 at 8:27 am #1305216Hi,
Thank you for the clarification.
It seems to be working on the first link. Please check the screenshots below.
with one menu navigation: https://imgur.com/c67PfwG
with two menu navigation: https://imgur.com/xswMDkaThe screenshots were taken right after placing the URL directly in the browser and on initial page load.
Best regards,
IsmaelJune 11, 2021 at 12:26 pm #1305250Thanks Ismael. What you see in the two menu screenshot it’s exactly our problem.
is an unusual behaviour although. If you see above and below that section there are other two sections linked in the same way but they do not get affected at all even with two menu navigation.
So how can we fix this problem according to your experience? It could cause us big problems since that section is the adv one.June 11, 2021 at 1:18 pm #1305267Hi,
We could immediately fix it by removing the duplicated navigation as previously suggested. As you can see in the first screenshot above, the anchor lands perfectly in the right spot. This is the page with the single navigation or without the duplicate. Unfortunately, we are not yet sure why it is not working when the duplicate is present.

IsmaelJune 22, 2021 at 11:27 am #1306909Hi Ismael, sorry for the delay. We are trying to do what you suggested but we couldn’t solve the problem.
In the private content we linked you a page built on purpose with only a single navigation, but we still have the same problem. We really need to fix it, since is causing a real disfunction for users and we simply don’t understand what is causing this. Please help us figure it out.June 23, 2021 at 10:53 am #1307104Hi,
We cannot reproduce the issue on our end anymore. Clicking on the middle menu or directly loading the page with the anchor work exactly the same. It lands correctly to the corresponding section with the gray background and a couple drinking at a table as you described. We checked the site on Chrome and Firefox. Which browser are you using?
Best regards,
IsmaelJune 24, 2021 at 3:14 pm #1307321I’m sorry but we still have the issue, clicking from smartphone to laptops, from firefox to chrome. I don’t understand how is it that it works perfectly for you.
Do you experience the problem if you click to every other city page? Because the one we linked before is the only one that doen’t have the double navigation.June 25, 2021 at 1:47 pm #1307440Hi,
We are able to reproduce the issue in the zafferana-etnea page but not on the calatabiano page. The zafferana-etnea contains duplicate navigation.
Best regards,
IsmaelJune 29, 2021 at 5:19 pm #1307977Ok we took off the double navigation from zafferana etnea, but we still reproduce the issue.
Could you please try now? We need to understand if it’s something that only us can see and what it may be caused from.
Thanks I appreciate your help.
July 1, 2021 at 10:09 am #1308275Hi,
Thank you for the update.
We were able to reproduce the issue on initial load but then it works fine after refreshing the page. Is it working correctly when you remove the wp-spaios-slider inside the Unni imu section? It is possible that the slider only loads once the document is scrolled or when it is in view causing a layout shift, which is affecting the supposed landing or anchor position.
You should also try to disable the animations of the elements.
Best regards,
Ismael -
