Hi there,
I have created an Asset Libray for my client, it contains images, documents & videos.
I have created a category for each – which enables the sorting of those assets based on their category.
The problem I have is this, because only images have been added most recently – there is no sorting available on the 1st page. In fact it’s not until the final page where there are portfolio items from those other categories (documents, & videos) present, so the sorting filter is not available until the final page (page 4).
That is far from ideal, what would you suggest I do?

Ideally I’d like the option to sort/filter present on each page.
Do I need to stager the publication dates of those other portfolio items so each page displays the sorting filter?

1) You can increase the number of items per page – then you could deactivate the pagination.
2) You can use a plugin like: https://wordpress.org/plugins/post-types-order/ to change the sort order – use it to add your items to the first page.
