    Hi,
I am currently using Portfolio Grid as a gallery to display my graphic design portfolio with sorting options displayed. However, I do not want it to start on “all” in the sorting options. I feel having all that art work displayed initially looks very cluttered. I would like to remove the option of “all” and replace it with “featured” where I can have featured art I select for when a customer first visits my portfolio page. The customer should then be able to click the other sorting options (such as “logos” or “ads”) and have all of the corresponding art work show up.

How can I go about this? I really hope there is some simple code I can just add on. Thank you!

So I went ahead and made a “featured” category in my Portfolio Grid sorting options. All I need now is the ability to remove “all” from the sorting options list and have it replaced with the new “featured” sorting option I created.

Thanks in advance to anyone that can point me in the right direction!

    Hey!

Unfortunately this would take a lot of time and code to implement so it would have to be considered custom work for now. It would be best to hire a freelancer to help you out with this customization.

If you’d like then you can create a feature request here, https://kriesi.at/support/enfold-feature-requests/, and we may see an option get added in the future.

    Best regards,

I ended up figuring out a work-around. Here are the steps I took.

    1) I created separate pages for each category. (Featured, Logos, Ads, etc)
    2) I added them as submenu items under my Portfolio page.
    3) I typed out a custom menu and linking pages respectively according to the page they are on.
    4) I then turned off the sorting options built into Portfolio Grid. I placed this new custom menu where the built-in sorting options would of been displayed.
    5) Each page has its respectful Portfolio Grid gallery added with its selected category.

It is a little more work to keep it organized since I need to manually create the links and make sure they all work correctly on each page, but so far it works exactly how I want it to. Also if I want to add new categories in the future I would have to update each page individually. Tedious, but as long as it functions as I would like, I am fine with it!

If you have any suggestions on how to create this custom menu more efficiently please let me know. Thank you!
