Hey guys
Quick question about the password protected page (“Datenraum”).
When entering the password, the page doesn’t load. It stays white and the domain says: chalchbrunne-gränichen.ch/wp-login.php?action=postpassI have to go press the back button or type in the website again, then I can access the page normally.
You can try it our yourself if it’s not clear. Can you help me fix it? Thanks for your quick reply.
Best regards,

Please post us your login credentials (in the “private data” field), so we can take a look at your backend.
- Install and activate ” Temporary Login Without Password “.
- Go to ” Users > Temporary Logins ” on the left-side menu.
- Click ” Create New “.
- Add the email address for the account ( you can use (Email address hidden if logged out) ), as well as the ” Role ” making that the highest possible and the expiry about four days
( do be sure that we have enough time to debug ). - Click ” Submit “.
- You’ll now have a temporary account. Please provide us here in the private section the URL, so we can login and help you out.
When your issue is fixed, you can always remove the plugin!
If you prefer to not use the plugin, you can manually create a admin user and post the login credentials in the “private data” field.Best regards,

February 14, 2018 at 2:20 pm #912261Hi,
Thanks for the login details, though the page doesn’t seem to be password protected? It’s a draft as far as I can see, and I can preview it without any problems when logged in.
Best regards,
RikardFebruary 14, 2018 at 4:18 pm #912329That’s probably because you logged in and then looked at the page. Sometimes you don’t have to type in the password anymore.
Don’t log into the backend and go straight to the page “Datenraum”. You’ll have to type in the password (see private content) and then let me know if the page is loading on your end.Thank you and best regards
AlineFebruary 15, 2018 at 5:45 am #912619Hi Aline,
That will only result in a 404 page, the page doesn’t have a URL since it’s not published yet. If the page is not published you can only preview it.

RikardFebruary 15, 2018 at 11:16 am #912699Hi,
The page is and has been published, you can see that in the backend. Also it used to work before, it only recently happened.
When typing the password in, the page just goes blank and in the domain it says: chalchbrunne-gränichen.ch/wp-login.php?action=postpassFebruary 15, 2018 at 9:33 pm #912944Hi,
Have you used any plugin that modifies ll of those settings?

BasilisFebruary 16, 2018 at 3:38 pm #913296Hi,
No I haven’t installed any new plugins so not sure if one would just now cause a problem all of the sudden.
I am using the plugin “Change Password Protected Message” which also worked fine from the beginning on.February 17, 2018 at 7:01 am #913520Hi,
I’m seeing the error now, did you try to deactivate all plugins to see if there is a conflict coming from any of them?

RikardAugust 7, 2018 at 10:07 am #994288Hey guys
I’m coming to you again concerning the same problem mentioned above. You’ve said in your last post, you can see the error. Can you tell me what’s going on? I’ve tried deactivating plugins but haven’t noticed a change.
When entering the password, the page is not loading, it leads me to this blank page:

AlineAugust 8, 2018 at 10:38 am #994814Hi,
I’m pretty sure it’s a server configuration issue. I tried to deactivate the plugins, switched to the standard twentyseventeen theme and created a simple password protected page ( http://www.chalchbrunne-gränichen.ch/?page_id=7226 ). Even then the password form redirected to a blank page with the url http://www.chalchbrunne-gränichen.ch/wp-login.php?action=postpass. I searched the wordpress forums and found some useful threads: https://wordpress.org/support/topic-tag/postpass/ – most of them indicate it’s a server configuration issue (htaccess, php version, etc.). Please talk to the server administrator/host and ask them to look into it.
Best regards,
