Hi,
I’ve been working on my dev site and tried to add Google Font code (according to your instructions) to the functions.php in the Enfold Child theme. After I did it I got the following error:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘:’ in /srv/www/vhosts/colorit.ch/subdomains/dev3/httpdocs/wp-content/themes/enfold-child/functions.php on line 15
As I only added that code to the functions.php file I thought if I reupload the clean functions.php file, then the site would work again and I could login. Unfortunately I keep getting the error. I even removed the child theme and reuploaded it clean. No use. Removing it completely, same thing… is there anything else I can do?
I’ve added the details if you’d like to have a look. Appreciate your help. Thanks so much.

Did you use the domain without ftp? I had that wrong on the first post… see below the dropbox link. It’s a screenshot from my hosting account. This definitely works. I use those details.
Thanks so much.

Those details worked. You had some extra characters in the code not belong there, I removed them and the site is working again.

Oh thank you so much. Where were the extra characters? As I uploaded a fresh version of the functions.php from the original file download of the child theme?
Thanks so much for your always amazing support. So much appreciated.
Kindest Regards
CorinaMarch 19, 2016 at 3:10 am #600608Hi!
You are most welcome :) I’m glad we could help you fix it.
According tot he error log it should have been in the functions.php
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘:’ in /srv/www/vhosts/colorit.ch/subdomains/dev3/httpdocs/wp-content/themes/enfold-child/functions.php on line 15
Cheers!
