    1. I worked on a page.
    2. I saved the Team Member information I was working on
    3. Clicked “Update” to save the page.
    4. Clicked on the “view page” link at the bottom.
    5. Clicked “Edit Page” at the top of the page.
    6. Page opens…..nothing is there and I get a spinning circle…forever.

    When you look at revisions it shows that all of the content has been deleted.

    We have the Enfold theme on multiple websites and this is happening sporadically on each of them.
    Theme, plugins, and WordPress are all up to date.

    Hi trexperts,

    Thanks for giving us admin access.
    The content is not lost however the server returns error 500 (Internal Server Error) via admin-ajax.php when fetching the data.
    If one of the rows is removed it seems to work properly, the data does not seem to have any character or word that causes the issue which is the usual case in these types of issue but it seems to have a limit on how much data is passed.
    Is this a staging/test site? so we can check further on the issue.

    No, this is not a staging/test site. I will reach out to our network admin and see what, if any, limits he has on the data being pased.

    Hi trexperts,

    I see, you can retrieve the shortcode generated by the builder by following the instructions in: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/intro-to-layout-builder/#debug-mode
    That’s how I was able to test the content, also you can check the error I mentioned via web inspector.

    I am having my IT person look into it.

    The page also shows an error message – “Updating failed. The response is not a valid JSON response.”

    Hi,

    Thanks for the update. Please enable debug mode, then copy all the shortcodes to a test page, so that we can have a closer look at the content of the page in question.

    The spinning circle of death does not allow me to see the option. Your help section said, “You should now see a new field under the Advanced Layout Builder with the live output of the elements as you add them using the drag and drop interface.”

    Hi,

    Thanks for the update. I tried activating debug mode for you, but your server doesn’t seem to be allowing edits:

    Something went wrong. Your change may not have been saved. Please try again. There is also a chance that you may need to manually fix and upload the file over FTP.

    Please share FTP login details with us in private, so that we can try from there instead.
