Hello everyone, I’ll explain the problem. I tried to do a site speed test using Page Speed Insight and Pingdom Tool, in both cases, by entering the URL of our site, analyze the page http://www.website.com/en instead of http://www.website.com and consequence also returns a screenshot of a non-existent page “Page not found”.
I recently updated the theme enfold to version 4.5 and worpress 5.0 this may have caused some problems, but I do not think so. In private there are accesses for a check on your part.Thank you

You are getting a 404 error on the /en/ page when navigating there with the browser as well. Did you try to clear the cache from your caching plugin? You could also try to reset your permalink settings under Settings->Permalinks.
Best regards,
RikardDecember 11, 2018 at 10:58 am #1043691The page “/en” does not exist, it should call “/en /welcome” which is the home page of the English version. After that I will try to reset the permalinks and update you
December 11, 2018 at 1:34 pm #1043746Hi,
Thanks for the update, let us know if resetting the permalinks makes any difference or not.
Best regards,
RikardDecember 11, 2018 at 2:25 pm #1043766I reset the permalinks and clear the cache, also I have correctly configured Wp Fastest cache and the test result is now better but I always generates the same screenshot “Page not found” (in private). Same for Page Speed Insight which always checks the page / en instead of the main home in Italian.
December 12, 2018 at 10:00 am #1044230Hello, have some update about my issue?
December 16, 2018 at 6:06 pm #1045992Hi fabiomagliozzi,
I checked it with pingdom and pagespeed insight and your http://www.website.com does work well and does not return 404 page, however for /en it returns this on pagespeed:
Lighthouse returned error: ERRORED_DOCUMENT_REQUEST. Lighthouse was unable to reliably load the page you requested. Make sure you are testing the correct URL and that the server is properly responding to all requests. Status code: 404.
and 404 page on pingdom. I have checked your /en site and it does give me a 404 page so I think it’s accurate.
Can you try to switch to wordpress default theme like twenty-nineteen and check if it returns the same result on your end?Best regards,
NikkoDecember 17, 2018 at 10:42 am #1046231Hello, i can’t try to switch other theme because the website is a ecommerce and it’s online.
I can not risk mistakes, it’s not my personal site otherwise I would have done this test.
Regards.
FabioDecember 17, 2018 at 9:58 pm #1046559Hi Fabio,
I understand, please try to create a stage site (basically just a duplicate of your site which is placed in a subdomain), this way you can experiment or debug your site without affecting your live site.
You can check on how to create a stage site in this post: https://themeisle.com/blog/wordpress-staging-site/Best regards,
