    Hi,
i have one subpage which throws an 404 error but is available and published. I’ve tried serveral things like permalinks, duplicate the page, look at the redirects but i cannot find the issue.

in editor mode of that page – and you go to admin bar on top and click “Seite ansehen” ( I guess you are working with a German WordPress ) – what happend then?

    – just copy the content to another page and try to save that new page.

    Hi,

If you check the URL with a tool like this, then you can see that there’s a 302 redirect: https://httpstatus.io/. 302 is a temporary redirect, but I can’t tell you where it’s set unfortunately.

    Best regards,
    Rikard

look to the htaccess file on root directory of your wordpress installation.

In the .htaccess are only the cache settings and the basic wordpress rewrite code.

There is a Coming Soon Redirect if you are not logged in for development reasons. -> 302 to main live page

Preview shows also 404 – as i mentioned i’ve cloned the page and also made a copy “by hand”.

    Hi,

If you check the permalink when editing the page, you can see that it doesn’t correspond with what you initially posted. Please see private. If you want the page in question to be a child of another page, then you can set that in the Page Attributes menu in the right sidebar.

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Hi,

Thanks for the update. Does the same thing happen if you activate one of the default WordPress themes? If so, then this is not a theme related problem.

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Hi,

Thanks for the update. That means it’s not a theme related problem then. We are here to help out with theme related problems, even though we try to help out with all types of matters. This redirect seems to be difficult to locate though, and we can’t spend longer periods of time on finding problems which are not related our product.

    Best regards,
