I have recently built a new site using the Enfold theme and on a few pages (not posts) I am unable to edit the content on the page because all the editable fields have disappeared. I have over 20 pages that are working fine but 2 or 3 pages are missing the editable field both in default editor and advanced layout editor. I have been in touch with my host (1and1.co.uk) and they believe it is because of javascript files are failing to load. Can any one help please? An example of the page is at http://www.toiletsforsale.com/portable-toilets-for-sale/

    Thanks

    Hey whitstablesunsets!

I would suggest updating both WordPress and Enfold to the most recent versions available. That will at least get us working on the same version as you so we can look for any bugs or something like that.

Just to rule it out you should also try deactivating any active plugins that are installed and then log out of WordPress and back in.

    Cheers!

    Hi!

Please download the latest version of Enfold on your themeforest account. Update the theme manually via FTP: https://vimeo.com/channels/aviathemes/64927359

Please deactivate all plugins then test it on another browser.

    Regards,
    Ismael

EDIT: I’ve just discovered a conflict with the WordPress SEO plugin by Joost de Valk.
I deactivated this plugin and now the edit page is loading correctly, if I activate it again, the page goes back to not loading.

    I’m having the same problem.

Wordpress is updated to the latest version as is Enfold Theme.

Some pages I can edit, but other pages don’t get past here:

It was working earlier today and then stopped. I’ve tried different broswers, clearing the cache, but nothing works.

    Regards,
    Luke

    Hi,

Does it happen with the default WordPress theme?

    Cheers!

Not sure Josue, I don’t want to enable another theme and risk screwing anything up! Would be good to test on a fresh install I’d say.

    Hey!

Try using a different browser with no extensions running. Also, when you switch themes it doesn’t effect the theme settings as they are all saved in the database unique to the theme name.

    Best regards,

i’m still getting the following error even tho i’ve updated to latest version of wordpress and turned off all plugins and logged back in and tried with different browser:

An error occurred while updating Enfold: Download failed. Failed to write request to temporary file.

I get the above error when clicking upgrade theme within wordpress.

How do I manually update the theme? if i update the theme will it overwrite a custom webform i’ve had created to work with a CRM?

    Hi!

Please watch this video by Devin to update the theme via FTP: http://vimeo.com/channels/aviathemes/67209750

Looks like you have a permission issue. Make sure that wp root folder and all the files and folders inside are write/read enabled. Set the permission to 755 or higher.

    Ismael
