Hi! Was loving your theme very much, but… today I did log in to admin interface went to edit my landing page and saw that an auto save exists. Without much thinking I approved it and… it threw the landing page back to Dec version. Could not find any way to restore the most recent content (that I’ve spent looong hours on) under Revisions even though I know I edited the site a lot and saved on Jan 22 (and it was available online). Revisions just shows the changes I made today and December 2018. Reached out to DreamHost and they have restored the version they had available by January 22th at 14:54 PST, but landing page content is still old. They said it’s not a server issue and that I should reach out to theme developer. Seems that for some reason the theme was not actually saving my work and not updating the server or hell knows what. I managed to scrape html of what the page should be and have it available. Would you help me in understanding this situation / fixing it so I don’t have to spend an extra day redoing what I’ve already done?

    Thanks,
    Modesta

    Hey modestan,

I see that you are using the Gutenberg editor on that page, I think it’s likely that it was the revision from that which you restored? What happens if you select to use the Classic Editor in the theme options instead?

    Best regards,

Ricard, I was making this page with Advanced layer editor, so I can use theme specific blocks, but after the situation I’ve explained above it opens in gutenberg saying “This block contains unexpected or invalid content”. I changed to Classic editor, but that does not solve the problem – I still see partially code, partially text there – I gave you login details, pls see for yourself. So my questions remain same:
    a) how can content from a page disappear even though it was available online?
    b) if there’s no other way to restore it, can you reconstruct it from the html file I saved when landing page was still as it should be. A lot of content disappeared and it sucks if I would have to redo all that just because of the theme glitches.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

Thanks for the update, though your site seems down on my end. Please see private. Would you be able to restore your site from a backup maybe?

    Best regards,
    Rikard

hi! I think it was DreamHoster’s issue as right now I see the site perfectly fine. Still, content issue remains as per my previous posts. Will appreciate urgent assistance.

Will anyone ever help me restore the content that disappeared after all the updates and what not? It’s been a week since I asked for help and am so disappointed with the support I received.

    Hi,

The site is still down on my end, we obviously can’t help you out with anything if it’s in that state.

    Best regards,
    Rikard
