Hi Kriesi team,
thank you for the great theme and the amazing support! My client’s website is running Enfold 4.2.4 and everything seems to be well set up.
However, editing the page is not possible:“Service Unavailable
The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later.”This error has been occurring for quite a while now – it’s not temporary apparently.
I’m providing you with a login so yo u can check – very much looking forward to your reply. Thank you!
Best regards,
MeikeFebruary 3, 2020 at 1:33 pm #1180914Hey AlpseeDesign,
Sorry for the problem. I see that you are running an old version of the theme, could you try to update to the latest version (4.7.2) to see if that helps please? The update to 4.7.x has to be done manually from the version you are running, please refer to my replies in this thread: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-4-5-theme-update-update-failed-download-failed-a-valid-url-was-not-pro/#post-1021541
You can either update manually via FTP: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update, or use a plugin to upload the theme zip file: https://wordpress.org/plugins/update-theme-and-plugins-from-zip-file/
If that doesn’t work then please try to delete the whole theme folder, then replace it with the new version. Make sure that you have backups of the site before starting updating.
After you have updated then try to activate the Classic Editor in the main page of the theme options.
Also please read this after you have updated: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-registration/
Best regards,
RikardFebruary 4, 2020 at 1:16 am #1181116good evening, updates of the theme are downloaded on my site, despite the correct insertion of the license key. The current release is 4.6.2, but see that there is already version 4.7.2! How can I solve it?
February 4, 2020 at 1:18 am #1181117good evening, sorry I wrote badly: the theme updates are NOT downloaded on my site, even though the license key was entered correctly. The current release is 4.6.2, but see that there is already version 4.7.2! How can I solve it?
February 4, 2020 at 2:16 pm #1181278Hi cristinapizzato,
The latest version of the theme is 4.7.2, and that is what is running on your site. So I don’t think you need to fix anything?
Best regards,
RikardFebruary 6, 2020 at 10:27 am #1181980Hey Rikard,
thanks so much for the quick and helpful reply, and apologies – I was mistakingly assuming to be running the latest version of Enfold.
So after theme and PHP update, everything was working like a charm.
However, after some minor content editing, the problem reoccured.
Feel free to use the login provided to check. Thanks!Best regards,

MeikeFebruary 13, 2020 at 9:48 pm #1184315Hi Meike,
Can you please check the server log for error?
Please deactivate all plugins one by one to check which one is causing this issue and let us know if this solves the problem.

VictoriaFebruary 14, 2020 at 10:00 am #1184438Hi Victoria,
deactivated all plugins one by one, did not do the trick unfortunately.
The editing function keeps coming back for a minute or so sometimes, and then the same error message pops up again.
Best regards,

VictoriaMay 18, 2020 at 1:01 pm #1214009Hi Kriesi,
sorry for the delayed reply. The problem is now occuring on two of my sites, both running Enfold. My provider is Strato. Called them several times and they assured me that the problem is not on their side and that it needs to be about the content on the website.
Frontend works fine on both pages, backend is not editable with the error message mentioned above.
Providing you with the login details of both pages in the private section.
Thanks!
Kind regards
